Abstract;
Since the first case of Covid-19 emergence in December 2019. This virus has affected
several countries especially on the Educational institutes of Pakistan. The Educational
institutes remain closed for a long period of time and education has been hit hard.
Students, schools, colleges and universities have been deeply affected. The Coronavirus is
inciting panic for a number of reasons because it is a new virus. It is highly contagious,
meaning it spreads fast. That's why it hit hard Pakistan & it's educational institutes.
The main reason behind the closure of the educational institutes is that government didn't
want to stack the life of students. Pakistan's two main populated cities Karachi & Lahore
faced & still facing threats of spreading this deadly virus. In this pandemic our government
took the decision to shift the students and teachers in online studies it was a good decision
but in this process we felt that quality of education decreased. Apart from Educational
institutes there are many other Departments which really get affected because Lahore is
the second largest city of Pakistan and the capital of Punjab province. It lies 811 miles
(1,305 km) & its population is around 1, 11, 19,985 & Covid-19 requires social distance &
proper SOP'S following routine. In this report I researched that how Covid-19 affected the
educational institutes of Lahore city.
Population Of Lahore.
Introduction;
Coronavirus is any virus belonging to the family Coronaviridae. Club-shaped glycoprotein spikes in the envelope
give the viruses a crownlike, or coronal, appearance; hence, the name. The coronavirus genome consists of a
single strand of positive-sense RNA (ribonucleic acid).
Background of Problem;
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is defined as illness caused by a novel coronavirus called severe acute
respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2; formerly called 2019-nCoV), which was first identified amid an
outbreak of respiratory illness cases in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. Your lungs might become inflamed,
making it tough for you to breathe. This can lead to pneumonia, an infection of the tiny air sacs (called alveoli)
inside your lungs where your blood exchanges oxygen and carbon dioxide.
Schools in Pakistan were closed for around seven months during the first COVID wave. However, they reopened
in September 2020 and were closed again in November. The government announced another phased opening of
educational institutions in January of this year. However, this reopening was also short-lived, as schools closed
again in April 2021 due to the third wave.
Objectives.
1. In this report our main objective is to study the effects of Covid-19 on the Educational institutes of
Lahore district.
