Planned Beat Sheet

INT. SCHOOL - DAY

We see a kid walking through the halls and looking down on his phone,
wearing a dark gray hoodie, sweatpants, and Nike brand shoes. His name
is Terrance, a reserved kid who acts like he doesn’t care what other
people think. Some kids are staring at him, but he doesn’t notice as
he is preoccupied with himself.

INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

During class, Terrence is chastised by the teacher for coming in late.

He is unfazed and gives a biting response. The teacher is upset and
gives him a detention slip, and continues class as normal.

After detention, he goes to the teacher’s house. He takes out a roll

of toilet paper and tosses it at her house. After he runs out, he
quickly leaves for home.

INT. RESIDENCE - NIGHT

Terrence comes home late. His mother questions him on why that is, and
he doesn't respond. His father then gets a call about him throwing
toilet paper, and they should come into the principal’s office the
next morning. Both his parents then talk about what they’re going to
do with him.

INT. RESIDENCE - DAY

The father talks to the family about his new job offer and tells them
that they’re moving to the city first thing tomorrow.

EXT. RESIDENCE - DAY

They begin to pack their items into the minivan and begin heading out.
As they travel, Terrence is upset that he has to go to another lame
school and figures, what’s the point? It’s the same situation.

As he attends his school, he is proven right as his transcript is

given to the new school and he is put on notice as the principal and
teachers are onto him. This causes a further strain on him.
