1. Overview
-. The causes of battery charging failures are various, for example, poor battery, belt slip and alternator failure.
Therefore, before replacing the alternator, the alternator has to be checked to verify the alternator problem itself

2. Check Process for Alternator (in vehicle)

2.1 Test Condition (in vehicle)

- Switch on high beam.
- Switch on air conditioner and make temperature controller to be lowest
- Make engine rpm to be over than 1800 rpm

2.2 Check(Test) Process

- Check the battery voltage during starting: must be over than 24V
- Make engine rpm to be over than 1800 rpm and be steady state
- Switch on high beam.
- Switch on air conditioner and make temperature controller to be lowest
- Measure the current by ammeter (See below picture, Ammeter capacity: 0~300A)

2.3 Check (Test) Point
- The current of alternator must be over than 60% of capacity (A) of alternator
- The failure of alternator must be decided by the current of alternator)
- There is some variation during measuring but it is normal

Ammeter capacity: 0~300A
