2. Who is Henry Fielding?

- Henry Fielding was the Chief Magistrate for Westminster in the year 1748. Henry Fielding
recognized that London required a more permanent and efficient force than local constables, so
he recruited six householders to serve as constables, who became known as Bow Street Runners,
and is the reason Henry Fielding is credited as the founder of Bow Street Runner.
