Summary
The article entitled, ‘The Nation, the Economy, and the Civil Society: What is Next?’, will
attempt to bring us closer to the specifics of development, its crisis and the postulates of
correcting and making modern the social, the political and the post-industrial systems that have
been developed over the years. The roots for this need were society’s experiences, which
probably evolved over the years during the original horde’s coexistence. During the humanist
and rationalist eras, humanity concluded that the source of authority as well as, the source of
all orders and prohibitions, is the man himself, together with the society and its citizens, and
this knowledge led to the rise of three new systems for regulating society. These systems are
known as the modern state, the market state, and the civil society, and they are currently
undergoing a deep crisis.

In the early history, humanity felt the need to apply a system that would reflect a certain
order in the mutual relationships between individuals, groups, and society, among nations and
within the international arena. A new question arose about a vision for a system that would be
able to successfully reform/replace them. In order to achieved the research goal, the authors
systematized the systems for regulating the society. The analysis will cover both theoretical and
practical issues pertaining to the state level and in the international dimension.

General Theme
The authors deeply highlight their research goal in the article on how they will overcome a
new system for the humanity’s needs that will reflect a certain order among the nations. They
tackled about human development as the foundation of the three systems, which are known
as, the modern state, market state, and civil society. I am self-analyzing that the authors
general theme is in these statements.

Point of View
The authors did what would researchers do, but my concern is they lack stronger facts in
their paper. They gathered some information but it did not help them conceptualized ideas but
rather it become complicated to understand. It also became tough to formulate a firm basis for
the answer in their question.

Issues Analysis
The list of the issues presented in the article are:

 The emergence of "non-political politics" or rather be called the disintegration of a

state’s political system, which can inevitably lead to a crisis in the modern state .
 Poor information and media coverage on politics, social life, and economic life.
 The development of public services makes the state dependent on additional sources of
income, and the level of state budget revenues (especially tax revenues) is not always
sufficient for populist projects.
 The relationship between the state and the market is rapidly failing.

Conclusions and/or Recommendation

The necessity for the existence of effective regulations in the multidimensional social
system is a fact.
The relationship between the state and the market is rapidly failing, while the market's
rule over the state and over the people is strengthening.
There is one more, perhaps last chance, this would be to unite the state and civil
society.
It is enough to build a parliamentary democracy based on a civil society.
We think that continuing these reforms requires the abolition of the leading and only
role of political parties, starting with all traces of the Jacobins.

Agreement or Disagreement
The authors conclusion seems difficult to understand. They try to build a questions, but the
answer is not firm to fully matched the issues being question. They put an effort by giving an
examples, but their goal did not reach to fulfill the conclusion that they try to explain. Their
conclusion is not directly to the point, instead it is filled with examples and questions, which it
makes it complicated to understand, and in that case, they go further away from their goal. In
my opinion, I don’t agree nor disagree but rather I find their conclusion to be lacking or
incomplete with some statements.

Professional Projections
From this article, this situation makes us realized that as a student, applying our literacy and
skill is necessary for making a critic. Reading and making a critical analysis is tough, because it is
based with analyzation and factual judgement. This situation will be also applied in my future
profession, where memorization is not actually necessary, but rather filled with pure analysis
and I guess this would help me to build my skills in my future career, which is in the
Accountancy Management.
