RE: Project Proposal on Mangrove Ecosystem Restoration and Preservation

Dear Mrs. Dorina Sabatin,

This is Zaldy Baccay. I am a bona fide freshman of Cagayan State University — Andrews
Campus, College of Allied Health Sciences where I take up Bachelor in Medical Laboratory
Science as my field of study. I am writing this letter on behalf of my groupmates in Purposive
Communication—which is one of the subject areas for first year, second semester whose
learning competencies we are required to complete. This is our formal and official way to
explain to you the essentials about our project proposal that warrants your definitive
involvement on it.
Alongside this letter is that project proposal I and my fellow groupmates have dedicatedly
crafted, which we deemed it best to be titled, “In the Groove for Mangrove: On Mangrove
Ecosystem Restoration and Preservation.” This project we are duly proposing is a week-long,
cause-oriented environmental summer camp that aims to generate monetary support for
several eco-centric partner organizations to help them in materializing their goal of restoring
and preserving mangrove ecosystems across the country. It has been scientifically proven that
mangroves are an effective natural coastal defense against violent storm surges and floods,
hence its apt alter ego— “coastal greenbelts.”
Furthermore, this project proposal includes a set of fun and interactive activities that would
surely imbue the participants with the spirit of unstinting care for the environment and kindle
in them the genuine intent of becoming stewards of nature.
With this salient matter thoroughly discussed, we have provided a form on the final page of
the document that we humbly encourage you to sign—which shall signify your unfaltering
support for the environmental cause we selflessly advocate for. Moreover, may we
