ACTIVITY PROPOSAL ON THE CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL READING

II. RATIONALE
In the implementation .implementation of the Proclamation 1436 series of 2007 or the
National Book Development Month and National Book Week—under Proclamation 109 series of 1936—
during the fourth week of November aim to develop awareness in the importance of reading in a child’s
life and his/her learning processes.
With this year’s theme Bawat Bata Bumabasa sa Kabila ng Hamon ng Pandemya aims to
advocate the reading habit in whatever circumstances there is as comprehension and strategies in
reading is vitally needed more importantly in distance education
III. OBJECTIVES
The reading month celebration aims to
 Advocate reading habit in every student’s life and learning experience.
 Incorporate the importance of reading in day-to-day learng task
 Showcase different skills of students in connection to reading.
IV. EXPECTED OUTCOME
 Foster the love for reading across curriculum area

