Quarter 4-Week 3

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Define technical and operational definition
2. Give technical and operational definition (EN10V-IIa-13.9)

A. ACTIVITY
The students will do a board activity in which they will be pasting
a given card to the board.
The teacher will post list of words in the board and selected
students will be given a piece of paper with a written definition and
will paste it accordingly in the board.

B. ANALYSIS (Processing Questions)


1. What learnings have you drawn from the activity?

C. ABSTRACTION
Define synthesis (Synthesize - verb form)
Synthesis – is the process of putting together background knowledge,
newly learned ideas, connections, inferences, and summaries into a
complete and original understanding of the text. It is an ongoing process
that builds and grows as a reader gets deeper into the text.

Provide synonymous word of the term


(Make something, combine, produce)
Discuss REST and ADD method of synthesizing
Provide examples and activities

D. APPLICATION
The students will be grouped into 5.
Each group will be given a copy of a story titled “The Lion and the
Mouse by Aesop”.
Each group will used the ADD method in the activity.
The teacher will be employ a strategy (e.g draw lots) to fairly choose
the member who will present each group’s output.

IV. EVALUATION
The students will answer a multiple choice assessment. (To be provided by
the teacher)

V. ASSIGNMENT
In a ½ crosswise, write the new things you have learned today and the importance of
such learning.
