1. What kind of housing do you live in? / Do you live in a house or a flat?
 I’ve been living in a rental house/ flat/ private house with my family/ my
friends... for the most part of the last … years
 It’s a one-story house/ two-story house / a 25-storey apartment complex.
 Gain better access to various up-to-date facilities such as hospitals, schools,
parks, shopping malls and recreation centers.
 I can grab anything I need with ease in just a few minutes.

2. What is your favorite room?

 A studio apartment: has everything in just one single room except the bath
room. -> but airy and spacious enough and I love it.
 Bedroom -> have my own privacy -> decorate it myself -> at the end of the
day: lie down on the bed and have a good rest
 Living room: airy and spacious with 2 windows -> family bonding time /
family reunions take place in the living room where we can enjoy a harmonious
atmosphere. -> watch TV and have a chat / share your day / share ups and
downs / share joys and sorrows
 Kitchen/dining room: enjoy cooking -> do the cooking with my Mom ->
prepare meals and have meals with my family -> strengthen family bonds,
boost my family concord, develop a mutual understanding of each other.
 Terrace: I love the terrace in my house where I can do exercise and enjoy the
fresh air in the early morning > Thanks to this, I always feel full of energy and
stay in the pink.

3. What would you change about your home? (Conditional sentence)

If + past simple, would / could / might + infinitive verb.

 My bedroom / the living room /… is rather cramped -> would love to enlarge
it, make it more airy and spacious
 Wish to have more windows/ a balcony / a garden > every household needs a
green space, not only because it is aesthetically /esˈθet̬ .ɪ.kəl.i/ pleasing, but also
because it is a good way to get close to nature

4. What is your neighbourhood like?

 This is a rather clean neighbourhood where houses are built in a planned
manner.
 People here are mostly very hospitable. = It’s worth mentioning the
hospitality /ˌhɑː.spɪˈtæl.ə.t̬ i/ of the people sharing the same atmosphere
/ˈæt.mə.sfɪr/ there.
 Provide a healthy environment stimulating a better lifestyle. There are many
trees planted around the neighborhood, offering fresh air and acting as a
protective shield /ʃiːld/.
