TITLE: KaSCIyahan 2024

DESCRIPTION:
It is a week-long activity consisting of competitions such as sci-quiz bee, essay writing,
digital poster making, and spoken poetry. This event will also have webinars to further
strengthen the awareness of the youth to the causes and effects of climate change to
the world. This will serve as the culmination of talents of the participating teams from
across the members of PCSMT and its partner SUCs.
 
E-Sportsfest will also be included where this aims to promote and explore the world of
Esports. This competition focuses on enhancing the technical skills that students need
such as critical thinking, problem solving, strategizing and social skills.

OBJECTIVE:
To showcase the skills and talents of the students through the various scientific
competitions and to promote scientific and environmental awareness among them.
Strengthen camaraderie and sportsmanship among youth by playing e-sports. Create
an awareness about environmental effects brought by the inevitable changes. To offer
webinars and competitions that will make an impact and influence to the critical thinking
and strategizing of the youth. 

ACTIVITIES:
a) Sci-Quiz Bee – The quiz bee covers general questions on Science, Mathematics
and Technology, and even some current events that are related and relevant to
this topic.
b) Essay Writing – This activity showcases the creative writing skills of the
participants.
c) Digital Poster Making – This activity showcases the ability of participants to make
poster arts with the use of our modern technology.
d) Spoken Poetry – This activity showcases the talents of the participants from
writing poems to the actual performance which caters the topics about Science,
Mathematics, Technology, and other topics related to the main topics.
e) E-Sports Fest – This activity showcases the technical skills of the players while
playing using the modern technology and also showcases their camaraderie.
