Executive summary

The goal of this study is to analyse strategy and conduct an analysis of the CSR efforts at
Standard Chartered Bank. The introduction of the company is the topic of discussion in this
report. After that, we discuss the corporate social responsibility actions that companies
participate in. In this section, we conduct an in-depth investigation of the CSR activities of
companies. Specifically, we discuss how CRS activities effect the economy, the legal system,
and ethics. In addition to this, we discuss the social responsiveness strategy, as well as how
the strategy operates on the problem. At the end we talk about how to issue can be solve.
based on our analysis provide some recommendation and finally we provide a short
conclusion.
Introduction

The Standard Chartered Bank started in Chittagong, Pakistan's east, in 1947. The branch
opened to aid post-war re-establishment and expansion in Southeast Asia. After the creation
of Bangladesh in 1971, the bank moved its headquarters from Chittagong to Dhaka.

As the country's economy flourished, the bank invested in personnel, technology, and
facilities. 2000: SCB bought ANZ Grindlays for $1.34 billion. Standard Chartered Grindlays
Bank is the new merger. Standard Chartered Bank is its new name. It recently purchased
AMEX bank, growing in size, strength, and customers.

Standard Chartered Bank's industry understanding and financial services capabilities help
build commercial prospects and institutional clients domestically and internationally.
Continuous upgrading of technology and control system has allowed the bank to offer
additional services, including 33 ATM booths, Phone Banking through a call centre, SMS
banking, and I-banking through its 24 branches. Standard Chartered Bank offers a wide range
of services in Bangladesh, including Personal & Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking,
Treasury, and Custody. This has led to the bank's growth since it was founded.
