THE GRAMMYS

The Grammys arrived last year embroiled in

scandal, with newly installed Recording
Academy president and CEO Deborah Dugan
ousted just over a week before the ceremony.
Dugan had entered the role pledging to improve
the academy’s woeful record on honoring Black
and female musicians, and claimed that her
dismissal was punishment for her efforts to
reform the institution, which the academy
denied. The academy’s chairman, Harvey Mason
Jr., has replaced Dugan on an interim basis, and
as The New York Times pointed out on
Tuesday, the organization invited over 2,300
members to join its voting ranks over the past
year in an effort to diversify its nominations,
with 74% accepting. After Black Lives Matter
protests swelled across the world this past
summer, the academy announced that its world-
music category would be renamed best global
music album in order to avoid what it said were
«connotations of colonialism, folk, and ‘non-
American,’» and that urban contemporary would
become progressive R&B. became the first
album to be nominated for album of the year
before making the Billboard 200, and Black
Pumas’ self-titled album came just one chart
spot away from doing the same. The Black
Pumas album that was nominated is a deluxe
edition of an album that was originally released
in June 2019.

It has been 25 years since Princess Diana sat down to give the
most famous and controversial television interview in royal
history, but today the Panorama interview that rocked the
royal family is making headlines once again. The BBC is
facing a crisis over allegations that Martin Bashir, the
interviewer who persuaded Princess Diana to give the
bombshell interview in 1995, lied and committed subterfuge
in order to get the princess to tell her side of the story—and
that the BBC knew about it. Diana’s brother Earl Spencer is
among the whistleblowers demanding a full independent
investigation into Bashir’s conduct. The princess agreed to
speak with Martin Bashir in 1995 to set the record straight
following tabloid speculation about her marriage to Prince
Charles, which by that point had irretrievably broken down.
«William was absolutely livid,» said Simone, who said the
princess told William about the top-secret interview only
after it was in the can. «Of course it was in all the papers and
William told me he was teased at school because of it. I was
there the day after she spoke to him and Diana was in a
terrible state». While Simone said Prince William eventually
forgave his mother, «It was the most angry I had seen him at
her». It was Diana’s brother Earl Spencer who introduced
Diana to Bashir after being courted by the journalist.
Speaking about his decision to demand an inquiry into the
BBC’s practices yesterday, Earl Spencer tweeted, «While I
knew that Martin Bashir used fake bank statements and other
dishonesty…what I found out only two weeks ago…is that
the BBC also knew. Not only knew about it, but that they
covered it up.» Spencer shared with the Mail notes he took
from a meeting with Bashir in 1995 that alleges 32 lies Bashir
told the princess, including that she was being spied
on by the royal family and that MI6 had secretly
recorded Prince Charles discussing the «end game».
Bashir, meanwhile, reportedly underwent quadruple
bypass surgery this year and also contracted COVID-
19, and has been unable to be interviewed.

Author and creator of the Harry Potter

universe J.K. Rowling spoke on the record for
the first time about her lack of appearance
on the much-ballyhooed HBO Max Harry
Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts
special that debuted at the beginning of the
year. The 57-year-old writer, who also
served as producer on the final two Harry
Potter films, was notably absent from the
television event. While promoting her latest
“Robert Galbraith” mystery, The Ink Black
Heart with Graham Norton in an interview
for Virgin Radio UK, the host referenced her
“being excluded” from the show. The author
quickly corrected him, saying “I wasn’t,
actually—I was asked to be on that, and I
decided I didn’t want to do it. ¿I thought it
was about the films more than the books,
you know? Quite rightly, as that is what the
anniversary was about, so, no one said ‘don’t
come.’” Norton followed up, asking if she
still has a relationship with “the young
actors,” to which she said “yes, I do, some
more than others, but that was always the
case. Some I knew better than others.” In the
two decades since Daniel Radcliffe's Boy
Who Lived debuted on Platform Nine and
Three Quarters, Rowling has become a
divisive personality due to his vocal views on
the genre. Emma Watson also made it clear
that she disagreed with Rowling on Twitter.

Graham said he was inspired to introduce the bill

after Democrats, who don’t think the government
should be able to force pregnant people to give birth
against their will, attempted to codify reproductive
rights. «If the Democrats are in charge, I don’t
know if we’ll ever have a vote on our bill.» If

bans passed by state legislatures throughout the
country, including the ones already outlawing it
entirely, would remain in place.
As The Washington Post notes, while most people

undergoing the procedure at 15 weeks or later
typically include “patients with fetal anomalies,
which are often detected at a 20-week anatomy

would “also affect more people in a post-Roe
America as abortion clinics struggle to
accommodate a swell of patients from states where
abortion is now banned.” Picking apart the verbiage
of Graham’s bill, Christina Reynolds, vice president
of communications at Emily’s List, tweeted: “15

significant challenges to access around the country.”

In 1991, R. R. Martin began writing one of the
most important stories in literature in recent
years. At first, R. R. Martin planned 'A Song of Ice
and Fire', the name given to the book series, as a
trilogy. However, after the success of the first
novel 'Game of Thrones', published in 1996, the
writer rethought his original story and decided
that there would finally be seven. Five of them
have already been published (Game of Thrones,
Clash of Kings, Storm of Swords, Feast of Crows
and Dance of Dragons) and the other two (Winds
of Winter and Spring Dreams) are on their way.
After making the relevant introductions, it is time

At the moment, quite a few plot details are

unknown. However, from the first moment they
have made it clear that Gerwig, Robbie, who is
also a producer, want to do something
completely out of place. Something that fits us
seeing the previous works that Robbie has done
from her production company, LuckyChap

addition, we will see different versions of Ken

plot focuses on Ken and Barbie being lost in
the real world and that they have to get by as
best they can.
However, the history of the doll has already a
few decades behind. Barbie has become a
symbol that has been able to adapt to the new
times, without losing her figure and
maintaining a perfect style. Since the famous
mannequin doll was launched in the 50s,
Barbie has witnessed the change of fashions

addition to the doll format, the most famous toy

formats, including the audiovisual.

If you have no idea who Michael Scott is, or

WandaVision a little strange.
"The Office" is an American series based on its
British namesake. Its executive producer Greg
Daniels, who was a former writer for Saturday
Night Live, King of the Hill and The Simpsons, was
in charge of adapting it for U.S. audiences.
The series has two singularities. The first one is an
insubstantial plot in documentary mode, which
tells the story of life in an office where paper is
sold, the second and not less important are its
characters. It was on March 24, 2005, when the
series premiered in the United States, this
comedy was about to die in its first season,
however it ended up becoming one of the most
popular comedy broadcasts of all time. The key to
its success was knowing how to understand
Michael Scott's character.
The main character was played by Steve Carell, a
mean and disliked character, who used
awkwardness in a way that you didn't want to
see it anymore. However, in the second
season, there were changes that affected
Michael Scott's personality and sense of
