Who discovered electricity?

Although some believe that it was Benjamin Franklin because of his experiments with
a kite,
he only confirmed that lightning was electricity and created the lightning rod.
The official discoverer is Thomas Edison with his most outstanding creation, the
light bulb.
Although, the true father of electricity as we know it today is Nikola Tesla,
he came to register more than 700 patents, and created the first energy-saving
lamps.

What advantages does electricity give us?

In factories, electricity is used both as a source of drive for the electric motors
of the machines,
we use it at home when we use the refrigerator, washing machine or electric stove,
It is also done in the health area, for example,
surgeons use electric shocks in some surgeries to stop the heart,
outside our houses we have public lighting for greater comfort, in addition, it's a
renewable energy.

but it also has its disadvantages, it is affected by air pollution,

they depend on large extensions of land to collect and produce electricity,
so it would compete with land for agriculture or forests.
The biggest disadvantage of electricity is the cost that is used to produce it,
because to generate it it is necessary to use fuels that are a threat to the
environment,
therefore, its high cost is not only economic, but also environmental.

Batteries, the first battery was called voltaic battery, which became known by
Alessandro Volta,
after beginning to experiment only with metals, he created the first electric
battery,
today it is common to use batteries in remote controls, flashlights, children's
toys or portable radios,
however some batteries and rechargeable batteries lack mercury,
but contain nickel and cadmium that are also highly toxic, when discarded,
the battery loses its cover and releases the metals it contains, reaching rivers.

the telephone, there was a great controversy based on this invention,

that is why it's better to consider this invention as the product of an arduous
work process in which many people made significant contributions,
the telephone is considered the first device that allowed people communicate
directly over long distances,
Italian engineer Antonio Meucci devised and built the first working prototype,
Alexander Graham Bell, was the first to patent it.

Television, like the telephone, television was made with contributions from many
people, in fact,
John Logie Baird is one of the best known, in fact, he based himself on the work of
a German to create his first models,
After several attempts to copy the electromagnetic wave system of the radio, he
managed to create his first model,
this was one of the precursors of the televisions that we know.
