ServiceNow Developer - Senior Analyst

Design, Development and Implementation of ServiceNow customization including, but not limited to: core
setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third-party software
integrations.

Work you’ll do

Perform advanced customizations including Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes,
Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables, reports etc.

• Perform workflow design, configuration, development and data loads for ServiceNow platform, (ServiceNow)
applications.
• Responsible for programming workflow, enhancements and integrations with ServiceNow platform
applications.
• Should have good amount of knowledge on business flow following service now applications:
o ITSM (Incident/ Problem/ Change/ Configuration) Management
o ITBM (Financial Management, PPM (Project Portfolio Management), Resource Management)
o Discovery – On-Premise & Off- Premise
o ServiceNow® Orchestration
o ITOM - IT Operations Management
o GRC – Governance Risk & Compliance
o HRSM – HR Service Management
o ServiceNow Event Management
o Integration and ServiceNow Scripting (Glide, (JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSON etc. HTML and CSS))
• Maintain pace with ServiceNow versioning.
• Perform upgrades and customizations of ServiceNow platform applications based on guidance from project
manager, architects, ITIL practice leads and customers.
• Maintain and adhere to source code, configuration management, release management and software
development best practices.
• Develop training materials and provide end-user or IT technician training on using the ServiceNow
functionality.
• Provide in-person support daily to customer and team This will include direct interaction with the Executive
staff and other key management.
• Maintain ServiceNow training and knowledge thru self-learning, attending conferences and training
• Responsible for proactive problem and risk management Triage and fix defects found in ServiceNow platform,
applications, and workflows.
• Providing support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing
processes.
• Reviewing and approving 3rd party and integration solution architecture based on established enterprise
application strategy.
• Defining and validating non-functional (technical) requirements and establishing traceability between
requirements and application architecture/design.

Experience with the following Technologies/Methodologies required:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of ServiceNow


• Strong knowledge of web-based technologies; HTTP, AJAX, HTML5, JavaScript/jQuery and CSS3
• Microsoft SQL Server and other most common backend Microsoft technologies.
• Well versed in UML with comfort of diagraming in at least one tool – Visio, Enterprise Architect, Visual
Paradigm, Modelio etc.
• Experience with the following Technologies/Methodologies preferred:
• Messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding.

Other skills Preferred

• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills to earn support of business leaders,
technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives.
• Capable of building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals.
• Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions.

USI shared services team provides a wide array of services to the U.S. and it is constantly evaluating and expanding
its portfolio. The shared services team provides call center support, Document Services support, financial
processing and analysis support, Record management support, Ethics and compliance support and admin assistant
support.

Qualifications
Required:
• At least 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer
• At least 3 years experience creating data pathways, customizing fields and customizations including Business
Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables, reports in
ServiceNow
• At least 2 years experience working ServiceNow Cloud Platform solutions integrating with other Cloud
Applications and Data Sources
• ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification
• ServiceNow System Administrator Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related field


• ITIL Certifications
• ServiceNow training and certifications
• Must have clear communications skills both oral and written Ability to negotiate in a non-confrontational
manner to deliver a clear, well-structured and concise argument to support your opinion, using facts,
pro's/con's, business justifications and other persuasion methods.
• Must have ability to work in fast paced environment, balance priorities and juggle multiple tasks at once
• Must be able to work independently
• Must possess a strong desire and clear understanding for high customer satisfaction
• Must be flexible, have good energy, easy to work with and a team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with third party plug-ins that offer cost effective business solutions
• Prior experience in supporting proposals and providing written content for future prospects
