How women work

Women have been discriminated against, structurally and systemically ever since
civilizations were formed. Women generally throughout history were somewhere
between “valued pets” and “property to use and abuse”.

This article created by Yashaswi Shetty and Hamza Ahmad in my point of view show
a Glass Ceiling type of discrimination. Since they are perceived as the weaker sex, they
don't have the right to claim anything from the fields they work day and night. Not to
mention, they also have no right to own any land due to the culture their nation has
according to Jijabai Gawli. In this case, women fear their security because if the
government or companies distribute land, they only distribute it to men even though
they work as much as they do. They fear the "what if" instances if their husband throws
them out because losing their male would not guarantee their security in the country. It
reminds me of those countries that think that women are useless without their husbands
or any male guardians. In my opinion, if women voice out their concerns and fight for
their rights, they will be able to somehow, peek the attention of the government to give
into consideration how they should distribute lands fairly since both sexes work as much
as the other. I think if they are given the opportunity to prove themselves, the
government and the nation, in general, will perceive women very differently than before
since they show just how strong they are just like men in terms of agriculture.

Discrimination can affect the whole lives of women. It impacts their daily life, the way
they will live, how they will work, and pretty much everything they will do for their whole
life. It can decide how their life will turn out. The societal pressure of living up to certain
standards of manhood often takes a toll on women. And all of this goes unnoticed
because society refuses to see women as human beings. That is why Gender
Discrimination must be stopped.
