KEY FEATURES
What is UK’s RQF?

 Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is a new

framework for recognising and accrediting England,
Wales and Northern Ireland.
 It is to help people understand all the
qualifications that are regulated, general and
vocational in England, and vocational in Northern
Ireland, and how they relate to each other.
 To improve consistency around how awarding
organisations describe the size and challenge, or
demand, of the qualifications they offer.
Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF)

 RQF have level descriptors for Entry 1−3 and

Levels 1−8 in the knowledge and skills categories
and which applied to general and vocational
qualifications

covering both academic and vocational
qualifications, and setting out the ‘skills’ and
‘knowledge and understanding’ expected of someone
with a qualification at that level
