Qatar suspends visitor visas during World Cup

Qatar has decided to
suspend visitor visas
temporarily during the 2022
FIFA World Cup that will start
in November.
Visitors to Qatar will be sus-
pended through its air, land
and marine borders from No-
vember 1 until December 22,
with visit visas resuming from
December 23, Qatar’s Ministry
of Interior has said.
However, Hayya cardhold-
ers will be allowed to enter the
country during the period, which
mark the duration of the FIFA
World Cup. Hayya cardholders
can stay in the country until
January 23, 2023.
Qatari ID card are exempt from
the entry/ exit directive.
Holders of personal recruit-
ment visas and work entry per-
mits as well as humanitarian
cases (based on the approval
from the official application plat-
form) are also exempt.
Operated by Qatar, Hayya
Card is mandatory for all the
fans, who want to attend the
World Cup matches, as it is an
entry permit to Qatar and its
stadiums during the football
tournament. In addition, the
cardholders also must have
their match tickets to watch the
games at the venues.
It was earlier announced
that Hayya Card will be manda-
tory to enter Qatar as well as
any of the stadiums during the
tory for all travellers to Qatar –
irrespective of whether they in-
tend to attend a match or not –
who visit the country between
November 1, 2022 and January
23, 2023.

ticket). International fans will
also need to confirm their ac-
commodation plans.
To apply for the Hayya Card,
and to book accommodation,
fans will have to visit the dedi-
cated page for the World Cup
set up by Qatar
<hayya.qatar2022.qa>. The
Hayya Card has several bene-
fits, including free access to
Doha Metro.
The Hayya Card is operat-
play in its application process,
issuance or use. For interna-
tional fans, their Hayya Card
application will only be com-
pleted once their accommoda-
tion is validated through the
Hayya portal.

for this. Try to take a tenure as
short as possible even if you
have to pay a higher EMI.
Even housing loans should
not be taken for a period of more
than 15-20 years. In a long-term
loan, the interest outgo is too
high. In a 10-year loan, the in-
terest paid is 57 per cent of the
borrowed amount. This shoots
up to 128 per cent if the tenure
is 20 years. If you take a ` 50
lakh loan for 25 years, you will
pay ` 83.5 lakh (or 167 per cent)

foreign destinations, Chairman,

APEDA is working towards pro-

under the financial assistance
schemes of infrastructure de-
velopment, quality improvement
and market development for
boosting export of agricultural
products.
APEDA organises participa-
tion of exporters in the interna-
tional trade fairs, which provides
a platform to the exporters to
market their food products in
the global marketplace. APEDA
also organises national events
like AAHAR, Organic World Con-
gress, BioFach India etc, to pro-
mote agri-exports.
In order to ensure seamless
quality certification of products
to be exported, APEDA has
recognised 220 labs across India
to provide services of testing a
wide range of products to ex-
porters.
