PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: OCTOBER 07 TO OCTOBER 09 2022.

1. We are in the 28th WEEK OF ORDINARY TIME. We should use

the word “Thank you” often, especially with God and in our
families.

2. The St. Daniel Comboni Parish in Abassiya celebrates the feast

of their patron on Monday October 10th. Let us pray for the
parish priest, the clergy and for all the faithful of the parish.

3. THE PRE-BAPTISMAL SEMINAR will be conducted for Parents

and Godparents on MONDAY, OCTOBER 10TH from
7:00pm – 9:00pm in Room No. 14. Kindly register your name in
the Parish Office. The Seminar can also be attended BEFORE the
birth of your child.

4. We have a Salesian Saint, Brother Artemide Zatti, who will

canonized a saint on Sunday 9th October. Our parish will offer a
Solemn Mass in thanksgiving on Tuesday October 11th at
6:30pm to celebrate this simple and humble Salesian. All
parishioners, especially the Salesian Family members are invited
to this Eucharist.

5. An introductory meeting and orientation will be held for the

Parents of Class 1 children and Parents of children admitted to
Catechism classes this year, on Tuesday, 11 October 2022 from
7.45pm to 8.30pm in the Church. It is mandatory for BOTH
parents to attend the session.

6. All the Priests of our parish will be away for their Annual
Spiritual Retreat. Hence from Monday November 17th to
Thursday November 20th there be only One Mass at 6:30 pm
in the parish.

7. The Mass timings for All Saints (1st Nov) and All Souls Day (2nd
Nov) are as follows
5:45 am in English
5:00 pm in English
6:30 pm in English
8:00 pm in Malayalam
9:30 pm in Tagalog
On 1st November there will be a Sinhalese Mass at 8:00 pm in the
courtyard.
8. No Mass intentions will be accepted on All Saints Day (1 st Nov.)

9. Mass intentions for ALL SOULS DAY on November 2nd, can be

written on slips of paper which are available in the courtyard and
at the exit door of the Church. Please clip it along with 2KD/- per
soul and deposit it in the drop boxes provided. Kindly note that
the mass intentions will not be read aloud but all mass intentions
will be placed near the altar and prayed for at all masses.

10. Those who seriously intend to attend Mass at Bahrain during the
Papal visit on 5th November at 8:30am can register with the parish
and we shall do our best to provide tickets to the papal Mass.
However, the Quota given to Kuwait is 500 tickets (125 per
parish) which is free.
Registrations need to provide, Name, valid Civil ID, valid
Passport copy, Flight Tickets confirmation, Visa, email ID and
phone number. Registrations need to be done by Wednesday
October 12th
A letter from the Bishop will also follow shortly. Until then let us
continue praying the prayer and to add an intercession during the
prayer of the faithful for our Holy Father and his visit.
Registration for passes to the Papal Mass can be done following
the link available on the parish website www.salmiyachurch.com
Registrations will be on first come first served basis for forms
correctly submitted and will begin on Saturday 8th October at
9:00am
