Annex G
(informative)
The voltage drop between the origin of an installation and any load point should not be
greater than the values in Table G.52.1 expressed with respect to the value of the nominal
voltage of the installation
provided that in both cases it is ensured that the voltage variations remains within the limits specified in the
relevant equipment standard.
– voltage transients;
– voltage variation due to abnormal operation.

where
ρ1 is the resistivity of conductors in normal service, taken equal to the resistivity at the
temperature in normal service, i.e. 1,25 times the resistivity at 20 °C, or 0, 022 5
Ωmm 2 /m for copper and 0,036 Ωmm 2 /m for aluminium;
L is the straight length of the wiring systems, in metres;

NOTE 1 Circular conductors are assumed for sizes up to and including 16 mm 2 . Values for larger sizes relate to shaped
conductors and may safely be applied to circular conductors.
