I. OBJECTIVES
The learner demonstrates understanding of the practices, techniques, and
Content Standards fundamentals of broadcast journalism by producing TV news programs in response
to personal, school and community needs.
Performance Standards The student shows mastery in writing a radio broadcasting script.
Write for the ear: Use simple terms and phrases for radio broadcasting 
Learning Competencies/
Objectives 1.Familiarize the proper ways of writing a radio broadcasting script;
Write the LC code for each 2.Identify the simple terms and phrases used in a radio broadcasting script sample;
3. Write a radio broadcasting script correctly.

IV. PROCEDURES
Let the students listen to a radio broadcasting sample and ask the to answer the
following questions below:
Reviewing previous lesson or
presenting the new lesson What are the common terms used in the radio broadcasting?
What did you notice in the construction of sentences in the presented radio
broadcast?
Ask the student on how important of knowing the correct construction of
Establishing a purpose for the lesson sentences in radio broadcasting.

Ask the students on how can a listener or audience understand a news or an


information given in a radio broadcasting.

Emphasize that in writing a script in radio broadcasting it is important that the


format of information is following the six “Cs” which are:
Presenting examples/instances of the

 3. Conversational
 4. Complete
 5. Current 
 6. Correct

Discuss to the students the functions and meaning of six “Cs”.

Present to the students the different broadcast structure.

Let the student discover on how to construct the broadcast sentence by listening
and participating in the discussion.
Discuss to the student on how to write the lead of a news.
Let them know the things that they need to follow and include in writing a script.

Introduce to them the things to be included and not be included in writing a radio
broadcasting script.
