These are just advices you might know.

RULE NUMBER ONE: Fully pronouncing each sound
Just try to realize about what is going on in your mouth when you’re speaking

RULE NUMBER TWO: “voiced and voiles sounds”

It is very important to know whether we can or can’t the voiced or voiceless sounds because they
can affect the real sound of the end of different words when we pronounce them
■z/s ■ v/f ■ five “ gime me five dollars” ■t/d “EDD”
Another important reason to know when a letter is voiced or voiceless is because “vowels are
longer before voiced consonants”
■ Ice /eyes(Z) ■back/ bag ■ safe/ save ■ pick/pig ■lock/ log ■light/lied
■leaf/leave ■cub/cub ■So, remember: no vibration with voiceless sounds but voiced

RULE NUMBER THREE: “Th”Sound θħδ󠇜

Θ: Voiced (s) just don’t touch your teeth too harsh or a “t” is going to come out
ħ/δ󠇜: voiceless (z) Don’t touch your teeth too hard or a “d” is going to come out (in the middle §)
■bath ■both ■math ¤ thank you ¤ Thursday § father §mother
 I’m thirsty is there anything to drink in this place?
 I thought it was on Thursday at three thirty
 This is my fourth month studding math.
 Both my mother and my father are healthy

RULE NUMBER FOUR: The “L” sound
When the “L” is at the beginning of the word we say it relaxed and touches right behind the upper
teeth and stays there and is prolonged, and if you pull it back it starts to become a “R”
RULE NUMBER FIVE: The “R” sound
The only most important thing is that this letter is never silent or either touches the upper teeth “it
curls tip and pull it back.

RULE NUMBER SIX: The “W” sound

RULE NUMBER EIGHT: The “s” and “z” sound

Sometimes we have some words are spelling with an “s” but are pronounce with a “z”

■ he’s a good actor ■has ■bags there is the rule: if the last consonant is voiceless then the “s” is
going to be also voiceless books, laughs, lives, likes, cooks, feels,

Exercises: care doctor nuts

When it a vowel, the word is common express with the “z” sound
■ he is my friend ■was ■ because ■these■those■please ■always
These are words that are commonly spelling with an “s” but pronounced with a “Z”

 He plays the drums on weekends

 She has many friends in many countries.
 Does he always use those things?
 It rains and snows in these areas.
Remember if there a voiced sound its almost always going to be a “z” sound.
RULE NUMBER NINE: stops and continuants
Another way to categorize whether the words are voice or voiceless is when they are stops or
continuants
 A stop is categorized when we stop the air flow, for exp: “JOB”
 A continuant can continue for as long as we have air in our lungs “Yessss”
An important reason to know it is because when we have a continuant a lot of people try them like a
stop, they cut the consonant and they rush through
■sometimes ■have, I have a job

When we do have a stop followed by a consonant, don’t release, just hold the consonant.
Pop music, job market, had this, job hunting, good boy, that day, not now,
It is very important not to release “T” because it makes you sound worst

■No, is not ■I’m not that hard ■ you’re quit right ■ do not pronounce them at the end.
¤ I can go / I can’t go

 I want that blue hat

 Robert you might be right
