Title: MCNHS 50th Foundation Day

Date: September 14-27, 2022
I. RATIONALE:
MCNHS was established on June 1972, based on the provision of RA 6050, otherwise
known as the Barrio High School. (Why na celebrate every September 27). From then on, it
marked the humble beginning of the school’s founding anniversary. This proposed activity
will help promote the school in building a better and competitive MCNHS.
II.OBJECTIVES:
The aims of this event are as follows:
Develop harmonious relationship among students, teachers, and community.
Build stronger bond within school.
Discover one’s strength and skill through various activities given in the program.

3. Duration of the performance must be 3-5 minutes only. There will be a 1 point deduction for every 5
seconds exceeding on the time.
4. The participant should sing one (1) full length minus one song.
7. The participants must submit an application form provided by MCNHSSSG on or before September 19,
2022. (Consult to any MCNHSSSG Officer for a copy of the form.)
9. The music that will be used should be put in a flash drive and should be passed on or before OCTOBER 5,
2022.
10. All the winning participants will receive certificates/awards and their photos will be posted on the
official Facebook page of our school with the permission and proper acknowledgment of the
creators/participants.

2. Each entry/act must be composed of two to eight members per year level.
4. The minimum length of performance is one minute and thirty seconds (1:30) and a maximum of three (3)
minutes inclusive of entrance and exit.
6. Each act must be original and not imitated from previous renditions as seen on television or in the
internet.
8. Props may be used during the performance as long as they are not sharp or harmful to the participants
and the audience.
9. The choice of music must be a pop music. For JHS (Shape of you) and for SHS (Closer)
10. Each entry/act is allowed to perform one dance number with one or several songs put together.
11. The music per entry/act must be submitted in a soft copy (flash drive) and labeled properly.
12. Participants must comply with the requirements and the official entry form to be submitted at the
MCNHS SSG on or before September 19, 2022.
13. The competition proper will be on October 6, 2022, 1:00pm @ the MCNHS Multipurpose Gymnasium

1. Spoken Word Poetry is a performance art that is word based. It is meant to be spoken or recited with
emotion to an audience. It is an oral art that focuses on the art of word play, rhythm, improvisation,
intonation, and voice inflection.
2. The contest is open to all bona fide students of MCNHS. Each year level must have one representative.
(Grades 7-12)
3. The spoken word poetry piece must be an original composition, written in Filipino or English but not in
Taglish.
4. The piece must be related to this year’s MCNHS Anniversary theme and must not contain any malicious and
offensive content.
5. The author of the piece may opt to choose someone to deliver his/her composition. He/she must come
from the same year level.
6. The spoken poetry may be delivered from memory or with a copy at hand.
7. Each contestant must submit a hard copy of the piece on or before September 23, 2022.
8. Sounds, instruments, or musical background is allowed to complement the delivery. No deduction shall be
made if the contestant opts not to have a musical background.
9. Winners will receive a certificate/award.
