I usually go on holiday in winter because my parents
have got a small hotel, so in the summer they work. I
don’t mind helping them because I meet lots of
interesting people staying in our hotel. I love chatting to
foreigners and especially when I can practise my
French.

the mountains – my dad loves skiing – but more often
we go to fantastic distant places like Caribbean islands.
I really like the Caribbean because it’s such a great
feeling to sunbathe, relax and swim, while at home
there are only grey skies and rain.
At the moment, we’re in Dominica, a lovely island with
beautiful white beaches and palm trees. We’re staying
in a small hotel by the sea and I’m having a great time.
I love having barbecues on the beach in the evening and
waking up to a blue sky in the morning. The beaches
aren’t crowded at all, and people are in general very
relaxed. I sometimes go diving and see amazing fish
and sometimes dolphins.
I also think about my friends and how difficult it is for
them in winter to study, play sport and do all the usual
things with no breaks. Of course when I get back home,
it’s a shock because the temperature is very low. But I
don’t mind – it’s a very small price to pay compared to
all the good things that I get!!!
