Bug Bounty Hunters Extension Guidelines 093022
Goal: In this HIT App, you will be presented with a Bing search result page. Your task will be to judge the
presentation of the part of the page that is highlighted in a red box, taking into account the query.
Important: Scroll to view the entire section, interact with the site, and ensure that all links work as intended
and lead to the correct websites.
If there is an issue, take a screenshot of the issue; if there is no issue, take a screenshot of the highlighted
area; and if there is no red bounding box, take a screenshot of the entire page.
Please note that if we discover you are not following these requirements, you will be banned from all Bug
Bounty Hunter Extension HIT Apps.
Workflow:
Instructions:
1. Getting started
• Click on the ‘Start’ button to get started with the HIT App.
o You will be navigated to a live page on a separate tab in your browser.
• Click on the UHRS extension logo (circled in green in the image below) in your browser toolbar:
o Note: You may need to click on the Extensions icon (shaped like a puzzle piece) and click the
eye icon next to UHRS Extension (in Edge) or the pin icon (in Chrome) to make the Extension
visible in your toolbar
• If no area on the page is highlighted by a red rectangle, select “No Answer Highlighted” and click
the ‘Capture screenshot’ button at the top to take a screenshot of the page. Please allow the page
to load fully before selecting this option.
o If no answer is highlighted, but you do see an issue on the page, we would be grateful if you
report it.
2. Check the webpage for issues within the red box
• If any of the following features exist in the highlighted section, you must:
o Scroll down, or to the right to see additional content
o Click plus signs to expand content
o Click through to at least two links or videos to make sure they load correctly
o Click on different subsections
o Interact with any other notable features in the highlighted section
Look for any of the following issues that you can find in the part of the page enclosed in a red box (please
do not judge any part of the page outside of the red box)
Not an issue
• Unexpected market/language
Only select this option if none of the above issues exist and the language or market of the webpage
is different from that of the query
o No matter the HIT App language, English should never be considered an out-of-market
language
o Titles/Names displayed in their original language (example: Anime Akira displayed in Japanese
kanji) should not be marked as wrong language
• If you did not find an issue, select No and click the ‘Capture screenshot’ button at the top to take a
screenshot of the area bounded by the red rectangle.
