Good morning sir!

today?
None sir.
A. MOTIVATION
The teacher will tell a story that will be related to the lesson that will be presented.

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACTIVITY

Okay class before we start the lesson for today,
I’m going to tell you a short story and all you
have to do is to listen.

Once upon a time, there was a boy named

diego. Diego was playing with his dog with a
small ball, he then throw the ball for the dog to
catch it. but when diego throw the ball, it went Students will listen.
really far that the dog could not find it anymore.
So diego went home really sad because he lost
the ball. Her mother saw him sad and ask him
son why are you sad? And diego said, because
I lost the ball mom. The mom said don’t be sad,
you still have three balls here, and she gave it
to diego. Diego first picked the yellow ball and
said “I like this big yellow ball” but then he saw
the red ball and said “ohh this is bigger than the
yellow ball” and then he saw the last blue ball
and said “Ohhh this is the biggest ball among
the three. Diego picked the three ball and play
again with his dog.

B. DISCUSSION

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACTIVITY

Okay class, that short story is related to our
lesson for today,

From the story, diego was describing the sizes Yes sir
of the three balls in different ways. Am I right?

The adjective had been change to show

comparison in the size of the ball.

When we say “this is a big ball” we are not

comparing it with any other ball, we are only
talking about one big yellow ball. When we say
“this ball is bigger than the yellow ball” we are
comparing the two balls in terms of size, so we
say the blue ball is bigger in size than the
yellow ball. And when we say “this is the
biggest ball of them all” we are comparing the
size if this ball with all the ball that is present, so
we say that the red ball is the biggest of all.

Vanessa please read what is written on the Adjective have three degrees or forms of
board. comparison which is positive degree,
comparative degree and the superlative degree.

Fatima please read the meaning of positive Positive degree" is a term that relates to
degree. adjectives and adverbs. An adjective or adverb
that does not make a comparison is said to be
So positive degree simply describe the in the positive degree.
existence of a quality. For example: kim is a tall
girl. The adjective tall is the positive degree
because it shows no comparison quality of
height.
Please read the next one mimi.
When two items/people are compared,
a comparative degree is used by putting 'er' to
the adjective word in association with the word
For example: Joanna is taller than kim. Here, 'than'. In some cases 'more' is used.
the adjective taller is the comparative degree
because it is used to compare the height of kim
with the height of Joanna. Understand class?

Yes sir
Rose ann please read the last one.

The superlative degree (or superlative)
compares more than two things to show which
has the least or greatest degree of the quality
Okay class here in superlative degree, it refers
to the highest degree of comparison. For
example: Fatima is the tallest among the three
girls. The adjective tallest is the superlative
degree because it is used to compare the
height of the three girls that shows that Fatima
is the tallest.

Understand class? Is it clear? Yes sir

Okay so in the sentence that I’ve said the

adjective tall is the positive degree, taller is the
comparative degree and last, tallest is the
superlative degree. Did you get it class? Yes sir

Okay very good!
