1. What is a decision tree?

A decision tree is a graph that uses the branching approach to show each potential
result for a certain input. Drawing decision trees by hand, using a graphics tool, or using
specialized software are all options. When a group needs to make a decision, decision
trees can help focus the conversation.

2. Highlight the importance of a decision in your daily life.

We have possibilities to improve our skills as a result of the decisions we make every
day. We make most of our decisions based on habit. However, by making our decisions
conscious, we may review them, determine how they will affect us, and engage in
self-reflection. Such actions eventually result in wiser choices and outcomes.

3. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of a decision tree.

Decision trees have a number of benefits, including being easy to comprehend and
interpret, being able to be visualized, requiring little data preparation, handling problems
with multiple outputs, and performing well even when some of its underlying
assumptions are partially violated by the true model from which the data were derived.
However, decision trees have drawbacks as well, including the creation of biased trees
when some classes predominate, predictions that are neither smooth nor continuous,
an unstable character, and a reduced ability to forecast the result of a continuous
variable.

4. What is the importance of a decision tree?

Decision trees are important because they clearly spell out the issue so that all potential
solutions may be tested, permit us to thoroughly examine any potential effects of a
choice, and establish a framework for quantifying outcome values and likelihoods of
success.
