Quality Management Principles

The ISO 9000:2015 and ISO

on seven quality management
principles that senior
management can apply for
organizational improvement.
Quality Management Principles

customer requirements and to strive to exceed customer expectations.

DESIGN

Improve
Design and Build

Serve to develop the

structure of a QMS.

It’s processe, and plans for

implementation.
Deploy
Breaking each process down into sub processes.

Educating staff on documentation, education, training tools

and metrics.

To assist in the deployment of quality management systems.

Control and Measure
Control and measurement are two areas of establishing a
QMS that are largely accomplished through routine,
systematic audits of the quality management system.

Auditing is defined as the on-site verification activity, such

as inspection or examination, of a process or quality
system to ensure compliance to requirement.
Review and Improve
Detail how the results of an audit are handled.

Goals are to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of each

process toward its objectives.

To communicate these findings to the employees.

To develop new best practices and processes based on the data

collected during the audit.
ISO 9000- Quality Management
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) has published
22027 International Standards (As on 5th Feb, 2018).

ISO 9000 is one among the most popular standards of ISO.

ISO 9000 is a series of Quality Management System (QMS)

standards, provides guidance and tools for companies and
organizations, to ensure that their products and services
consistently meet customer’s requirements for consistent
improvement in quality.
ISO 9000 - Family of Standards
Is a series of quality management system standards which
includes the following:

ISO 9000:2015- This specifies the fundamentals and vocabulary used

in all these ISO 9000 standards.

ISO 9001:2015- This is the Requirement standard that provides

directions on how to achieve quality requirement.
ISO 9001:2015
1. Meet the significant regulatory requirement.
2. Improve satisfaction for all stakeholders (customers, shareholders
etc).
3. Have a method of identifying and implementing the improvements.

ISO 9001 is the only auditable standard for which third party
certification and auditing organizations provide independent
confirmation that the requirements of that standard are met.
