Coplaner force
• Coplanar force systems have all the forces acting in in one
plane. They may be concurrent, parallel, non-concurrent or
nonparallel. All of these systems can be resolved by using
graphic statics or algebra.
Like parallel forces
Non coplaner forces
• Non-coplanar force system refers to the number of forces
which do not remain in same plane. It is also stated as the
number of forces in a system which remains in dissimilar
planes. Resultant of a non-coplanar force.
Unlike parallel force
Collienear forces
• When the line of action of forces is acting along the same line
for a system, such force is defined as the collinear force.
Concurrent force
• set of point forces is considered concurrent if all the lines of
action of those forces all come together at a single point.
Because the lines of action for the gravitational force and the
two tension forces line up at a single point, these forces are
considered concurrent.
Non concurrent force
• is defined as the forces which lies in the line of activity but do
not intersect or forms a parallel at a common point. The
forces are the general system of forces
