ASSIGNMENT IDEA ESSAY

- mag hatag ug bullet reasons then elaborate from diff pov
- maybe the possible reasons could be from teacher and the curriculum
- is there any hope? I guess yes. Maybe we could just do it one step at a time and
support as much as we can as a future teachers to help our young learners or the
students of tommorow to grow and foster. Maybe to just lower our expectation and to
build trust from one another and to unite to reach our ultimate goal. By this it inspired
me to strive more to be a better and efficient teacher in the future not just to help our
country but more importantly to our kabataan.

ANSWER:

To answer directly on that question, according to Science Education Institute,

According to our last meeting it is evident that Filipino students consistely show poor
performance in international studies and national assessment studies. They have low
retention of concepts, have limited reasoning and analytical skills, and poor
communication skills in which they cannot thoroughly espress their ideas. Also,
according to UP NISMED (2005) the grade 6 and grade 10 students in selected
schools cannot apply concepts to real-life solving situations .DOST-SEI (2006) stated
that the factors behind the low performance are low quality of teachers, the teaching-
learning process, the school curriculum, instructional materials and administrative
support.

May be caused by poor study habits of learner due to rise of new technologies which
divide the attention of learners in their studies. To improve their performance in the
core subjects , motivationand engagement of learners on activities in all learning
areas, close monitoring on learners performances and remedial activities and
intervention should be facilitated taking into consideration the diversity learners.
lack of support for a scientific culture
- dili pareha sa Singapore na they are very exposed with that

In which I also agree, I think that we just to to unite as one or to communicate to

really solve this problem so therefore I think that there is always hope if we in
ourselves as a future teachers do not lose hope for the betterment of our country and
most esp. Our learners.

SCIENCE FRAMWORK IN THE K TO 12 CURRICULUM

Based on the old curriculum - (basic education curriculum)

Before k-12 we only had 10 years compulsory education our edcaution was based
2002 - we only have grade 1-6 and highschool 4 years. Before k12 hindi require
kindergarten.however chool year 2011- 2012 imprementaion of kindergrarten is
required part of the education of learner before they are accepted to grade 1

2015 WAS READY TO IMPLEMENT SHS

ANOTHER REASON TO ENHANCE THE CURRICULUM WAS THAT THE

GRADUATES OF PH ESP COLLEGE PAG NAG TRABAHO NAGNG
PANAHON NA YON THEY FIND IT VERY DIFF TO BE GIVEN
OPPORTUNITIES TO OTHER COUNTRIES.

Para matabangan ang gradutaes if gawas sa other countries they will have the same
level. Ginawang k-12 para mag level up ang capabilities ng graduates.

Implementation of k-12 has changed the landscape.

PADIGOSAN

-The most obvious and frequently mentioned economic advantages of festivals

are that they draw crowds, which encourages the expansion of tourism and other
industries in a town or region. As a result, Padigosan really highlight Digos'
beauty, which can boost tourism and have a big impact on the city. This can help
provide small and medium-sized business owners with opportunity to market
their goods to guests and visitors. Due to the fact that tourists use social media to
talk about their experiences, they offer free marketing and advertising for local
businesses. Visitors and revelers, notably in the transportation, food, lodging,
and restaurant industries, are said to create cash for local businesses and
suppliers. As a result, economic activity has a multiplier impact because local
vendors gain a lot from the annual event.

The fight of Pacquaio vs Thurman?

- Boxing falls into the category wonderfully because it encourages fan interaction
and draws sponsors from a variety of sectors, despite the fact that I consider it to be
only a sport and an entertainment activity. The sport's business side is crucial
because it produces significant income and offers employment to many kinds of
professionals. Chi (2015) claimed that because of Pacquaio's immense influence, the
economy benefits every time he competes. Many people will just pay to watch the
show at a bar, casino, or hotel, or at home. Even Manila Electric and Sky Cable
profited. The most significant ways that boxing influenced the economy, according
to Andrews (2021), was ticket sales, sports wagering, TV rights, and pre-match
talks. In light of this, I believe that the Pacquiao vs. Thurman bout has had a
significant impact on the economy because it provides significant income and job
prospects.

2. The idiom "don't put all your eggs in one basket" refers to not concentrating all of
one's efforts on a single hope, prospect, or path to success. If you scatter the eggs
among several baskets or your pockets, you will only lose a few eggs in the event of a
minor accident like dropping the basket, as opposed to smashing all of them if you
drop your basket. It's an analogy that means you should spread your risks and avoid
investing all of your resources—such as money or time—in one project because you
run the risk of losing or wasting them all.

3. As an employer, you have a load of responsibility for others as well as your

business and you will have to learn and know the art not only delegating
responsibility, but ensuring that tasks are carried out that are beneficial to the
company objectives and purposes. Then there is the issue of accounting and
accountability as well as salary to be paid and who gets what and how much,. It is not
an easy task, but it will all depend on what type of business you have in mind and
whether it is beneficial to hire a team or go at it alone.

As a businessman, that is, you alone calling the shots. You are basically chef, or cook.
That is, you are a one man band, doing it all and reaping all the benefits without
having to worry about delegating anything to others or paying them. This would
require a lot of discipline and self control as you will have to manage your time in
order to get everything done that will ensure the success of your business. Earlier in
my teen days I thought being an employee was a much better choice but here comes
SHS I chose the track of Accountancy and Business Management which change my
perspective being a businessperson gives you the flexibility and freedom. Now, I can
say that I would rather choose both to be and employee and a businessperson. Well
as an aspiring future teacher I want to impart my knowledge to children and widen
my passion in this chosen career whilst doing small business of my own. I know its
not an easy path but I am now slowly learning and practising. To tell you honestly, i
am selling ice candy while studying as I want to save up money. So, maybe in the
future if given the chance and time I will choose to continue as an employee and a
business person.

ORAL RECIT FOR NEXT SESSION:

Science Technology Society Approach

- is the study of how social political, and cultural values affect scientific research and
technological innovation, and how these in turn affect society, politics and culture. --
CYLCE

So, to further understand let me define the SCIENCE TECHONLOGY AND SOCIETY.

Science - systematic body of body of knowledge based on careful observation and

experimentation. (SYSTEMATIC MEANS PROCESS- THAT IS A STEP BY STEP
PROCEDURE)

- STUDY OF SOMETHING

Technology - the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human

life or sometimes to the change and manipulation of the human environment. \

- simple as techonlogy when u just used the technology for the purpose

Soceity - network of relationships between people. Community of people with a

common goal.

so if we put together STS

The cycle will keep on repeating depending on what the society need and what the
society wants and demands. The cycle of STS
From Social values - (LITERALLY THE SOCIETY) who wants or need to promote
what science researches what science learn about and evetually ENRS. Make it to
techonlogy the techonlogy peoaple use and can change our social values.

In an STS science curriculum, this science content is connected and

integrated with the students' everyday worlds, and in a manner that mirrors
students' natural efforts at making sense out of those worlds. - Glen
Aikenhead

CONTEXTUAL

- Contextual learning is a method of instruction that enables students to apply new knowledge
and skills to real-life situations
- Without context our understanding is limited (because we misinterpret and draw false
conclusions)
- this allows us to gain deeper understanding of subject matter
- So according to sprouts, in schools daw is often absent -- we learn about tress in books instead
of exploring the woods , we learn about our feelings and behvaiors from psychology books instead
of in person --- THE LEARNERS MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT THE THEORY
WITH PRATICE OR PLAIN INFORMATION WITH PERSONAL MEMORIES - So I think that as a
future teachers we will use this to help our students fully understand and prepare them to the
world.

- For example, conducting and designing experiments with the scientific

method and enquiry helps science students think critically about
assumptions of knowledge that are pervasive in society.
