Institute of Spanish studies was established in

November 2008. We consist of a team of native and Indian Spanish staff and
experts. Our goal is to promote Spanish and Latin American culture, literature,
and civilization.

Being ISS, we have a holistic approach towards learning the language. Our
ultimate motto is not just to achieve fluency but to also a create a niche for the
language in India. We focus on encouraging the students in all the possible
aspects. There is a persistent emphasis on grammar and cultural inputs. Our
unique teaching ways also include hosting events, showcasing movies,
documentaries, literature, and poems. We aim to train every individual and
develop them into professionals who are ready to appear before global
platforms.

 OUR COURSE :
Our courses are customizable and allow students to cope up with the
language during their day to day lives. We follow the methodologies and guidelines
given by Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for language. We try to

We conduct regular tests and have a communicative approach. Our small class groups

STUDY IN SPAIN!
In collaboration with the Institute of Spanish Studies, Valencia, Spain, we offer students a life time
experience and chance to study in Spain. Students can take up specialized short duration courses
that last for 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months based on their comfort. Provisions like food and
accommodation is taken care by ISS Valencia. The institute also provides further guidance in

SIELE- A GLOBAL CERTIFICATION

All the branches of ISS are SIELE (www.siele.org) authorised centres. SIELE is one of the most
highly recognised certification programmes in Spanish Language. Besides, ISS Valencia is an
authorised, testing centre of SIELE and accredited centre of Instituto Cervantes.

ISS tries to be best version of itself, and grows with the growth of its students. Every working
member has an aspiring passion towards the language. Our friendly atmosphere makes the process

Jain University, Created syllabus for a few institutions in India. Mr. Ranjeet has over 12 years of teaching
experience in universities and institutions, Has travelled to Spanish Spanish speaking countries and
currently supports almost all the aspects related to Spanish language and Spanish speaking world.

 Frequently asked questions
1. How different is ISS from others?
Besides having certified experts and an ambient environment for learning, ISS is a SIELE
authorised testing centre. We have branches in almost every metro city in India. We also
offer courses to study abroad. We have exchange programmes, and host cultural and
literary activities on a regular basis.

2. Is your certificate recognized?

After the completion of every level, tests are conducted and a certificate is issued under
the name of the student. Many of our students are now working in MNC’s and other
companies in India and some have pursued higher education abroad, on the basis of our
certificate. However, we do not claim that our certification is internationally recognized
and official. In order to help you, we are an authorised testing centre for SIELE, an
internationally recognized Spanish certification programme.

3. Do you give placements?

ISS offers employment-oriented courses to students who wish to make a career with
Spanish language and many MNCs in India hire our students and recruit them as full-time
employees. Some positions offered are- Language Specialist, Spanish Language expert,
Spanish Language analyst. We also provide assistance in finding employment
opportunities. Our students work for companies like Amazon, Accenture, IBM, and HP etc.

4.Who are your teachers? / do you have native

teachers?
The institute has its own criteria for selecting and recruiting staff. Our teachers are
qualified and have a formal education in Spanish and language teaching and are updated
with the current trends in language teaching, international syllabus, and training. Yes! We
have native teachers in our team from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Spain. Our
director Maria Cristina Delgado is a native of Spain.

5. Are online classes effective?

In language teaching there are 4 linguistic competencies- Reading, Writing, Speaking and
Listening skills and leveraging technology, we are capable of giving equal importance to
all 4. Students can talk and interact seeing each other, and activities can be planned even
if they are at different locations. There practically are no obstacles, and adding on, online
classes give a better opportunity to connect with students with different cultural, social,
economic, and linguistic background.

6. What if I miss a class?

As an educational institution we remain committed to help the students to our level best.
However, in order to not encourage absenteeism, we don’t provide catch up classes. But
our teachers and students are connected through social media platforms. All the notes are
updated, and help is provided so as to make sure nothing is missed.
*The teacher will be able to record classes on a special request.

7. Can I change my batch?

Admission at ISS is generally for a respective batch. But in case of an unavoidable situation
like health issues, migration/relocation, change in working hours/shifts we consider
changing the batch (on special requests).

·November 1, 2008- Started from a small classroom with around 10 students.
·July, 2012- Started from a commercial space.
·2016- Bangalore’s most preferred Spanish language institute.
