Nature of the study;

You are invited to participate in this research study. It is important to us that you first
take enough time to read and understand the information provided in this sheet. The study
will be explained to you before you take part in this research study and you will be given the
chance to ask questions. After you have understood and satisfied with the study, you wish to
take part in the study and you must give me your written consent. You can refuse to
participate without penalty or loss of benefits.

Purpose of the study: To assess the level of stress and coping behaviors and to evaluate the
effectiveness of selected coping strategies among nursing students during COVID-19
pandemic at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry”

Confidentiality: The data will be collected in a confidential manner. Collected data will not
be discussed with anybody else and will be kept confidentially.

Possible benefits: There will be no harm in participating in this study. However, your
participation in this study may help to find out the existing level of stress and coping behavior
as well, plan for teaching module for coping strategies.
