• Bowing (Ojigi)- In Japan, bowing (ojigi) is a common part of daily routine. This is normally done by someone younger to show respect to the elders and to receive a blessing from them. It is done by taking the elder's hand and lightly tapping it to one's forehead while saying "mano po." Some Filipinos also call Mano "bless" informally. • The Wai- In Thailand, people made the "wai" gesture, which consists of placing two palms together so that the fingertips touch the nose. A “wai” is a sign of respect and admission of seniority toward another individual.
