What I Know

What I Need to Know

This module is designed and written for you. It is here to help you master
how to solve word problems involving real numbers. The scope of this module
permits it to be used in many different learning situations. The language used
recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of students. Lessons are arranged in
the standard sequence of the course, but the order may be different from the
textbook that you are using.

The module is divided into three lessons, namely solving word problems
involving real numbers:
 Lesson 1 – Solving Word Problems Involving Integers
 Lesson 2 – Solving Word Problems Involving Fractions
 Lesson 3 – Solving Word Problems Involving Percent and
Decimals

After going through this module, you are expected to represent real-life
situations and solve problems involving real numbers (M7NS–Ii-1).
Specifically, you are expected to:
1. state the steps in solving word problems involving real numbers;

2. solve word problems involving real numbers.
