THE SUPERLATIVE

Empleamos los superlativos para indicar una superioridad o extremo en un grupo de cosas. Si el adjetivo es
corto (de 1 sílaba, y algunos de 2 sílabas) añadimos "-est" al adjetivo en lugar de usar "most":

ADJECTIVE + EST __ + C.

EXAMPLES:

1. Europe is the coldest.

IMPORTANT

a) Si el adjetivo termina en Y se cambia por I. EXAMPLE: English is easy

English is easiest.

b) Si el adjetivo termina en consonante + vocal + consonante, EXAMPLE: America is big.

se duplica la ultima consonante. - America is biggest.

c) Los adjetivos: Good, bad, far, tienen un comparativo irregular. EXAMPLE: Good – best
bad – worst, far – farthest.

SUPERLATIVE: MOST
Para indicar el superlativo en adjetivos extensos (de más de 2 sílabas) se usa: "most + adj.", que se traduce
"más + adj.": 

MOST + ADJECTIVE.

EXAMPLES:

1. Technology is most interesting.
