Graduation Attire
(see pic 4.1 & 4.2)
The official attire of the graduates is composed of the academic gown
(royal blue toga), graduation stole (orange sablay) and a cap. The gown
(toga) must be well-pressed and long enough to cover the upper half of
the legs (or the hemline of the gown must be 12 inches from the ground).
The cap must be well-placed down to the mid-portion of the forehead,
and the flat top of the cap must be parallel to the ground (not slanting).
The inner attire, or the attire beneath the academic gown, is strictly
semi-formal (e.g dress, skirt & blouse) for females and slacks and shirt -
of any kind/color, for the males; black shoes are preferred)
Corsage and garlands shall not be worn until the end of the ceremony.
During the Ceremony

Everyone must observe silence, order, and discipline inside the covered
court during the entire ceremony. Standing or leaving the court is strictly
prohibited. All mobile phones and other electronic gadgets must be
turned off or placed in mute mode during the entire ceremony.
Everyone is expected to stand for the singing of the National Anthem,
and the Invocation.
Graduates shall rise during the presentation of candidates for
graduation by the school principal and shall be seated only when
instructed to do so.
Clapping of hands shall be done only after all graduates of each
strand/section have been called.
Graduates shall rise during the recitation of the Pledge of Loyalty,
singing of the graduation song, and VNHS hymn.
Official receipts and ribbons (indicator that the photographer must
take photos of the candidate) are issued to candidates for graduation.
Photo coverage inside the covered court during the ceremony is
exclusively done by the school’s official photo service provider. Other
than the school-accredited photo service provider, photo-taking is strictly
prohibited inside the covered court during the ceremony.
