Create Location BOM IB11

Purpose
Use this procedure to create Location BOM.

Trigger
Perform this procedure when you want to create Location BOM.

Prerequisites
All the details related to BOM like Location No, BOM Usage, Plant, Item Category etc. should be known.

Helpful Hints
 IB11 is the SAP transaction code for creating Location BOM.
 A maintenance bill of Location (BOM) is a complete, formally structured list of the components
making up a technical object or an assembly.
 Field values can be queried using the F4 help wherever available. This can be done either by

placing the cursor in the field and pressing F4, or by clicking on the match code that appears
next to the field.

Create Functional Location BOM

 Enter the T-Code IB11 and click on icon to create Location BOM.

 You can also double click on the menu “Create” as highlighted in the below screenshot to create
Location BOM.

SAP Easy Access

 This opens the screen as shown below.

 Creating Location BOM – Initial screen

 We can search the Location no. for which BOM has to be created by clicking on the input help icon

as marked above. This displays the screen as shown below.

 Giving the maintenance plant and execute it. After the screen appears as below screen.

 Enter the Planning Plant as “1i01” & BOM Usage as “4 Plant maintenance”.

 Functional location BOM created

 Note the Location BOM created message at the bottom of the screen as marked above.

 Click to return to go to SAP Easy Access screen.
