THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL FORUM «RUSSIA-

AFRICA: WHAT IS NEXT?” ON THE BASIS OF MGIMO


UNIVERSITY

The Second International Youth Forum “Russia-Africa: what is next?” on the basis
of MGIMO University, will be held on October 24-26, 2022.
The Forum is a platform for studying various aspects of cooperation between Russia and
African countries. Both presentations, aimed at expressing one’s position on the African continent,
and discussions conducive to exchanging views with other people equally as interested in
exploring Africa, are welcome within the Forum.
Students of higher education institutes located in Russia and foreign countries,
postgraduates and research officers, as well as anyone concerned with the topic of the Forum, are
invited to participate. The event will provide an opportunity for future specialists in the sphere of
international relations, economics and other fields to exchange their scientific positions, make
presentations and deliver scholarly reports, and receive the invited experts’ professional
assessment.
The Forum will take place for three days. During the Forum, participants will be able to
share their opinion in various formats such as a plenary session, a round table, a case
championship, a brainstorm and others. The events held during the Forum will touch upon a
wide variety of aspects of Russia-Africa relations. You may acquaint yourself with more detailed
information on the draft program in Appendix 1 to this document.
We ask you to assist in attracting participants at the expense of the sending party.
The Forum will be held in a hybrid (in-person and remote) format. Invited experts,
speakers and audience members will be able to take part both in person in MGIMO University’s
rooms and remotely through the ZOOM platform.
The working languages of the Forum: Russian and English.
The presentation should take up to 10 minutes with further discussion or answers to the
questions. To participate as a speaker, we ask you to send your short abstracts to our e-mail.
