Summary

This lesson was about the solutions of equations that are

transformable into quadratic equations including rational algebraic
equations. This lesson provided you with opportunities to
transform equations into the form (Standard Form) ax 2 + bx + c =
0 and to solve them. Moreover, this lesson served as your
foundation skills to solve real-life problems involving rational
algebraic equations.

Assessment Direction: Find the solution set of the following.

1. x ( x +3 ) =28

2. x ( x +6 )=8(x +3)

3. (t +1)2 +( t −8)2=45

Assignment Direction: Find the solution set of the following.

2 2
1.(3 r +1) +(r +2) =65

1 1 2
2. + = 2
x−1 2 x −1
