• COPILOT switch on (depressed)
(c) Verify aircraft configuration as follows:
• Airspeed less than 50 knots
• Aircraft in ground mode
• Aircraft Inertial Reference Units (IRU) installed and powered
NOTE: If aircraft is on jacks, 1159GSEP50109 weight on wheels wedge is the only
authorized tool to put this system in ground configuration mode.

Percentage of completion will be displayed on TRANSFER OF NAV DB page

on CDU.
When complete, message DB TRANSFER COMPLETE is displayed and FMS
performs a restart.
If power is interrupted, ABORT is selected or other problems that stop loading
process occurs, data load process must be repeated from beginning.

4. Flight Management System Custom Database — Download
NOTE: Flight Management System (FMS) Custom Databases (CDB) are built and stored when a user
defined waypoint and / or flight plan is created.
Personal Computer Data Link (PCDL) can retrieve this information and save it to a folder on
computer or floppy disk, then load on another FMS of a similar software level. File name will
contain the following:
• Tail number
• Side from which it was taken
• File extension ending in .cdb (custom database)
