The meeting was held on 5 July 2011 at the conference room of World Fish Center (WFC). The meeting was chaired by Mr. William Collis, Director South Asia, WFC. After the welcome address from Basin Leader (BL), the director of WFC opened the discussion as per following agenda: IFWF3 i) ii) iii) iv)

Miscellaneous IWM-G4 Salinity mapping output for 2011. After discussion the following decisions were taken: 1. Dr. Mahabub Hosain, Executive Director, BRAC is to be approached as Key Note Speaker for the IFWF3, to be held in South Africa, in November 2011 2. Except G1, each of the projects (G2, G3, G4 & G5) will prepare one abstract for IFWF3 and BL will forward those to Amanda Harding by 15 July 3. G2 and G3 will supply posters and videos for display at the forum 4. G5 is to send an email to Amanda Harding asking for space availability/booth for display at the South Africa forum for GBDC 5. All project leaders will send a list of possible participants details (which will include number of participants, budget, etc.), for IFWF3, by end July 2011 6. Probable cost ( accommodation, registration, DSA etc) of each participant is to be requested to Amanda by BL 7. Letter to be sent to Amanda for visa facilitation 8. A continuous sharing process is to be encouraged between each GBDC TL and BL, regarding their annual planning 9. LOA between BRAC and G5 to be done by mid-July 2011. 10. BFRI and CIBA agreement to be followed up; WFC can advance fund to start up the field activity 11. Training materials (video version) to be prepared by G3 and G2 under coordination of G5 12. All GBDC projects (G1, G2, G3, G4, and G5) has started field/research activities; so, fund release to partners is to be expedited 13. The Basin Leader ended the meeting expecting greater cooperation from the representatives of G s and with thanks to the director for his valuable contribution to the meeting.
