The learners will independently demonstrated understanding of cleaning different premises using
appropriate tools and equipment following safety and security standards.

Learning Competency:

The learners should be able to select appropriate cleaning tools and equipment with their proper
uses and functions, follow safety and security measures when using cleaning tools and equipment,
identify and use dry and wet cleaning agents/chemicals for a particular task , select and use personal
protective equipment based on the task requirement.

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
1. Identify cleaning supplies used in applying glass surfaces cleaning technique
2. Perform skillfully the process of applying glass surface cleaning techniques; and
3. Utilize recyclable materials in applying surface cleaning techniques.

This time class we are going to have an

activity. I will divide you into two groups and
each group will be given a cut pictures and
you need to arrange and name of it. The
group who can arrange and tell the name of
the picture earlier will be declared as a
winner. The title of this activity is “Arrange
me and tell my name”.

Activity

At this juncture, we will have another activity

in which you will work it by group. I will
divide the class into 3 groups. All you have to
do is to write your own cleaning techniques
applying on a glass surface. Write it in a
Manila paper. Each group should have a
representative to do the presentation of
their work.

Steps on Cleaning Glass Windows
1. Gather all the cleaning supplies such as white vinegar,
water, spray bottle, or large bowl, microfiber cloth/ soft lint-free
cloth/ newspaper, and a cotton swab.
2. In case you are cleaning a glass window, lay towels in
the window grills. This is particularly important when cleaning a
window wood.
3. Create a cleaning solution by mixing one-part white
sugar and four parts water.
4. Spray on it in your cleaning cloth, or simply dip the
cleaning tool in this solution and wring cut the excess fluid.

5. Rub the glass surface in a particular motion to remove

all the spot. Next wipe with vertical strokes followed by horizontal
swipes to make the glass clean and shiny.

6. Clean the corner and edges with the cotton swab or a

soft toothbrush.
Finish off with a quick buff using newspapers, or an old cotton t-shirt to
polish the glass.
