Answer the Following Questions:
1. Discuss in a paragraph the three characteristics of the language of
mathematics.
The language of mathematics makes it easy to express the kinds of thoughts that
mathematicians like to express. There are three important characteristics of the
language of mathematics. These are precision, conciseness, and powerful. First is
precise it able to make very fine distinctions, second is concise it able to say things
briefly and lastly is powerful it able to express complex thoughts with relative ease.
These are the three characteristics of the language of mathematics. Mathematics is the
same all over the world, math can act as a universal language. A phrase or formula has
the same meaning, regardless of another language that accompanies it. In this way,
math helps people learn and communicate, even if other communication barriers exist.
2. Compare and contrast the language of Mathematics and the English
language.
The difference between mathematical language and English language, English is
an international language used all over the world allowing people from different
countries to communicate for different needs. Mathematics is the language of
sciences but it is also a language which is used for communication and for describing
different situations in everyday life. English is an international language used all over
the world allowing people from different countries to communicate for different needs.

English and mathematics are perceived as languages, they are considered by schools
and colleges as two completely distinct disciplines.
