Thank you for having purchased this VI.BE.MAC. S.p.A. industrial sewing machine.
Before using this automatic unit, please read the following instructions, which will help you to understand how the
machine operates.
These instructions illustrate the working method to be followed, in compliance with current regulations.

1.3.SUPPLY / VOLTAGE
The driving voltage is 220v 50/60 HZ for the sewing machine. The current drain is about 0,7KW.

2. JOB SEAT
The operator works standing up in front of the Loading Feeder.
Normally on the right side he/she has a box for the flies and on the left side a carriage with the trouser.
On the automatic unit there are the following devices:
• on the Loader, there are two switches on the right side:
The START LOADER is the yellow switch (1)
The RESET of Carriage Movement is the black switch (2)
Two switches, one yellow and the other red, on the left side with the follows functions:
Command the START SEWING with the yellow switch (6)
Command the STOP SEWING/EMERGENCY with the red switch (7)
• on the floor, under the feeder, is placed the pedal with two switches:
Command the First Positioning Clamp with the BLACK switch (8)
Command the Second positioning Clamp with the GRAY switch (9)
• On the table there is the PAL console (10) to set all the parameters in the unit.
• On the right side of the cabinet there is the ELECTRICAL MAIN SWITCH (3).

3. FUNCTION SYSTEM
N. TYPE FUNCTION
1 J STITCH & DART The Operator loads the material on the loader, by the two clamps and the
AUTOMATIC Loader starts to load the material automatically.
LOADER When the Loader goes back the sewing cycle start automatically.
STARTS The unloading cycle is throughout by a stacker.
The operator loads the material (fly and front trouser) for a new loading cycle
during the sewing cycle.
2 J STITCH & DART The Operator loads the material on the loader, by the two clamps, press the
SEMI - AUTOMATIC Loader starts switch, the Loader starts to load the material.
LOADER When the Loader goes back the sewing cycle start automatically.
STARTS The unloading cycle is throughout by a stacker.
The operator loads the material (fly and front trouser) for a new loading cycle
during the sewing cycle.
3 EMBROIDERY The Operator loads the pocket on the loader, lowers the jig and press the
Loader starts switch, the Loader starts to load the material.
When the Loader goes back the sewing cycle start automatically.
The unloading of the material from the sewing head is made from the operator.
During the sewing cycle is possible to load the material (pocket) for a new loading
cycle.
Select the icon and then digit the follow PASSWORD by numerical keys “1 0 1 0” .
Choose the reference number that you need from the upper seven icon list.
Conferm by icon. When the unit has finish to load all the data, please select the icon to confirm.
ATTENTION: It’s obligatory that when you change the Function System, you must Switch Off the Unit.
Wait a while until the PAL is completely off, and then you can switch ON the machine again.

4.1 CLAMPS AUTOMATIC CYCLE TIMER REGULATION (LOADING FEEDER MOVEMENT FORWARD
STROKE)
To synchronise the various movements correctly the following timers are used during all movements of the
equipment:
STEP 63: Delay in loading jig opening from the Left end-stop reading (IA) First cycle with
STEP 65: Delay in loading cylinder return from the Left end-stop reading (IA) machine stopped
STEP 66: Delay in Unloader cylinder return
STEP 67: Delay in sewing cycle start from left end-stop reading (IA)
STEP 69: Delay in Stacker cylinder movement from left end-stop reading (IA)
STEP 70: Delay in Stacker cylinder stop from left end-stop reading (IA)
STEP 133: Delay in loading jig opening from the Left end-stop reading (IA) Robot loading
STEP 135: Delay in loading cylinder return from the Left end-stop reading (IA) with and without
STEP 136: Delay in Unloader cylinder return machine sewing
STEP 137: Delay in sewing cycle start from left end-stop reading (IA)
STEP 139: Delay in Stacker cylinder movement from left end-stop reading (IA)
STEP 140: Delay in Stacker cylinder stop from Left end-stop reading (IA)
In this example, the FUNCTION “Delay in loading jig opening from the Left end-stop reading (IA)
” at STEP 63 is changed.
Lower the blocking jig.
The main menu will appear on the display:
Confirm using
Press to exit
When the display once again shows the programme, turn off the machine and wait until the display goes out.
Re-start the machine and check that everything functions correctly.

4.2 CLAMPS AUTOMATIC CYCLE TIMER REGULATION (LOADING FEEDER MOVEMENT BACKWARD
STROKE)

5. ELECTRICAL LINKING
5.1 INPUT
On the machine there are some different connectors, on the little board on the right side of the machine
5.1.4.YELLOW SWITCH ON THE SEWING MACHINE (IF) REAR POSITION - RIGHT SIDE
This switch is connect to the TE2 terminal, on the board on the right side of the machine.
There are two pins, and they are connected to the n° A2 and n° A3 and the cable number is 6 (six)
His function is move UP or Down the INNER Clamp.
5.1.5.YELLOW SWITCH ON THE SEWING MACHINE (I6) FRONT POSITION - RIGHT SIDE
This switch is connect to the TE1 terminal, on the board on the right side of the machine.
There are two pins, and they are connected to the n° A3 and n° A4 and the cable number is 5 (five)
His function is move UP or Down the OUTER Clamp.
5.2.OUTPUT
5.2.4.STACKER (OA)
The EV4 solenoid valve is connect to the TE2 terminal, on the board on the right side of the machine.
There are two pins, and they are connected to the n° A8 and the common is TE2 terminal – B8
His function is move the Stacker Arms when the software read the FUN2 code.

5.2.8.FIRST POSITIONING CLAMP (08)
The EV8 solenoid valve is connect to the TE2 terminal, on the board on the right side of the machine.
There are two pins, and they are connected to the n° A6 and the common is TE2 terminal – B9
His function is open or closes the First Positioning Clamp.
• The 5 way, art. 83.240.01 KUHNKE that it's use from EV1 to EV8.
• The 3 way, Art PA13/0205 that it's use only for EV9 and EV10.
There is also the follow solenoid valve, 5 way, art.76.26.01.00 that it's use only for EVA
The characteristic are the follows: 24V 50/60Hz 5W
EVA Security. This solenoid valve when the power is turn off cut immediately the air pressure
It does connect to a Secondary Circuit on the Transformer inside a grey box under the table.
7. COMMAND CIRCUIT
• LIMIT SWITCH - In this machine there are 2 types of electrical limit switches. They are:
MS10 Loader cylinder 25/400 all closed. Lower 1st clamp to lock the material
MS32 Loader cylinder 25/400 all open. Lower 2nd clamp to lock the material
Start the sewing cycle
MS32 Carriage cylinder 16/25 all open. Lower Positioning clamps to lock the material
• FLOW CONTROL - In this machine there are 2 types of Flow control. They are:

8. HOME POSITION SENSORS
There are two magnetic positioning sensors inside the sewing head.
They are located at the following points:
- inside the Sewing Head near the carriage sliding guides, under the transparent LEXAN cover on the right
(X AXIS).
- inside the back longitudinal arm under the hand wheel behind the machine (Y AXIS).
Their function is to position the machine at Zero point (Original Point), when the machine needs to be re-set, or at
the end of each sewing programme.
9. PNEUMATIC CIRCUIT
9.1.CYLINDER
Follows there are all the pneumatic connections, from solenoid valves to cylinders
9.2.ASPIRATION SYSTEM
There are connect two pneumatic valve, to start the aspiration system during the forward stroke of the cylinder

10.2. SEWING HEAD SIGNALS TEST (Original Point, Encoder, Position finder sensors)
Press the icon. All the SEWING HEAD SIGNALS and can be tested manually.
The display will show the INPUT STATUS value.
UP POSITION = TAKE UP Position detector
to Upper Dead Point (UDP).
DOWN POSITION = NEEDLE to Lower Dead Point (LDP)
X SENSOR = x-axis Original Point position sensor
Y SENSOR = y-axis Original Point position sensor
ENCODER = Motor encoder signals
When the contact is Closed = ON the following icon

11. PROGRAMMING UNIT CONTROL PARAMETERS

11.1. ADJUSTING MATERIAL TRANSPORT
Select the FEED ANGLE icon and confirm with , the parameter is as follows:
The S 8. parameter can be adjusted between the 084 and 104. Standard Value = 94.
Select the THREAD TRIMMING TIMING icon and confirm with , the parameter is as follows
L 1. 240 (Tension opening delay) The parameter L1. should be adjusted between the values 040 and 240
Select the SPEED icon and confirm with , the parameter is as follows:
Select the SPEED icon and confirm with , the parameter will be as follows
H = XXXX (MAXIMUM speed). Set up to value of 2500 rotations (2100 when breaking in)
L = XXXX (MINIMUM speed). Set to value 200
M = XXXX (MEDIUM – HIGH speed). Set to value 1000
n = XXXX (MEDIUM – LOW speed). Set to value 700
L = XXXX (MINIMUM speed). Set to value 200
Select the THREAD TRIMMING TIMING icon and confirm with the parameter will be as follows
Select the SLOW START icon and confirm with the parameter will be as follows
S = XXXX (SLOW START speed). Set to value 500
SL = off /on (SLOW START function) enable/disable.
