John McEwen
 Simcoe County artist John McEwen is an
internationally known artist and has received
the Order of Canada for his contribution to the
arts
 The three-column steel sculpture “Search Light,
Star Light, Spot Light” (1998) in front of the Air
Canada Centre, is inspired by a quote from
author Louis Untermeyer, (1885-1977): “God, if
you wish for our love, Fling us a handful of
stars.”
