• Hypothesis 1: Training positively impact on work performance.

• Hypothesis 2: Motivation positively impact on work performance.
• Hypothesis 3: Employee engagement positively impact on work
performance.
Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Since Covid 19 happened, businesses have had to change their working environment.
Therefore, when the epidemic is under control and employees return to the office to work,
their working style also changes significantly. This research was conducted to clearly
identify the factors affecting employee performance after Covid 19. As a result, the
company can apply policies and incentives to optimize work performance of employee.

Besides, this research also conducted because of author’s self interest to find out how
businesses improve their employee work performance. Thanks to that author can gain more
knowledge about his studying major at university.

Section Four: Activities and timescales

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies

9
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What
your areas of research will cover:
• In this research, the author uses the deductive research approach: In a
deductive approach, a hypothesis (or hypothesises) is developed based on an
existing theory, and a research plan is then created to test the hypothesis.
Hypotheses that can be derived from the theory's propositions can be used
to explain the deductive approach. In other words, the deductive method
focuses on drawing inferences from premises or propositions (Dudovskiy, no
date)
• Both quantitative data and qualitative data are used in the synthesizing
information
- Quantitative data: When a researcher wants to answer the "what" or
"how many" questions in a research question, they use quantitative data.
It consists of information that can be compared numerically or counted.
This information is typically gathered using tools, such as a questionnaire
with a rating scale or a thermometer to gather weather information.
Quantitative data analysis frequently involves the use of statistical
analysis software like SPSS (MAC Dewitt wallace library, 2021)
- Qualitative data: Qualitative data describes traits or qualities. It is
gathered through observation, interviews, or questionnaires and
frequently takes the form of stories. Qualitative data may be challenging
to measure and analyze with accuracy. The information could take the
form of descriptive words that can be coded or otherwise analyzed for
patterns or meaning. The researcher can perform quantitative analysis
and categorize qualitative data using coding to find themes that relate to
the research questions (MAC Dewitt wallace library, 2021)
• All information in this research is secondary data: Secondary data is the data
that making use of information that has already been produced by large
government institutions, healthcare facilities, etc. as part of organizational

record keeping. After that, the data is extracted from a wider range of
datafiles. (Wagh, 2020)
