ANALYSIS & SIMULATION USING FANUC ROBO GUIDE SOFTWARE & REAL TIME
PROGARMMING OF FANUC ARC MATE 100IC ROBOT

AIM:
To analyse & simulate using robo guide software and real time programming of FANUC ARC MATE
100ic robot.
APPARATUS REQUIRED:
• FANUC ARC MATE 100 iC robot
• Teach pendant
• Robo guide software
THEORY:
The FANUC ARC Mate 100iC is a 6 axis robot designed to provide maximum performance and
reliability for welding and cutting applications. The 100iC protects the weld torch cable, gas lines, air lines,
and the wire feeder motor cable by routing them inside the robot arm. This improves reliability and
reduces setup time, prevents cable interference, and allows offline program generation without
compromising the cable integrity.

The 100iC robot creates a large work area and maintains high speeds throughout, conquering up to
10 kg of payload, all the while using a slim wrist enabling entry into small openings in the work space. In
addition, this robot arm moves 15% faster than the other robots in its class and can process large parts
and use complex tooling without compromising productivity. The FANUC ARC Mate 100iC is compatible
with all major brands of welding equipment and can be interfaced with most types of servo-driven or
indexing positioners.

RobotWorx also offers used ARC Mate 100iC robots. Each reconditioned FANUC ARC Mate 100iC
goes through a rigorous refurbishment process. All new and refurbished ARCMATE 100iC robots include
the RobotWorx Value Package

ROBOT FEATURES:

FANUC Robot ARC Mate 100iC is the cables integrated intelligent arc welding robot.

• The robot covers the motion range from 1.4m to 2.0m reach for various application adaptation. Spare
parts such as motor, reducer and controller are communized among all ARC Mate 1001C model.
• The robot can position the tip of wire without vibration, even after high-speed air cut motion. High
speed and high accuracy motion can improve the productivity of the system.
• The unique gear drive mechanism in wrist axes realizes the slim arm in torch cable integrated robot.
• Welding cable utilities are integrated in the arm. It makes system setup easy.
• Thanks to torch cable management, off-line teaching function by ROBOGUIDE (Option) reduces
teaching cost.
• Various intelligent functions with IRVision (integrated vision) and coordinated motion with positioner
are available.
OPERATING SPACE:
SPECIFICATIONS:

TEACH PENDANT:
ROTARY WORK TABLE:
PROCEDURE:

➢ Power on the FANUC ARC mate 100 iC Robot after checking for obstacles that can come in between
ROBOT motion.
➢ Release the EMG STOP button the power supply as well as the teach pendent.
➢ Turn ON the Controller.
➢ Press and hold the DEADMAN SWITCH gently and start operating the teach pendant.
➢ After the Teach Pendent is booted, login to Operator mode and get into JOG mode.
➢ In JOG mode, we have two options, one is moving individual joints manually by varying the values.
➢ The second option is to move using (X,Y,Z) coordinates which will maintain the end effector
coordinates and still move the robot.
➢ Apart for this we can manually move the robot by physically moving it with hand or we can program
it in a PC and import the program into teach pendent to move the Robot.
➢ To set waypoint we just click on the way point button and save this current point as way point
➢ To create a delay, we can use the delay function and between some path we can create a specific delay.
➢ By repeating the above steps, we can create multiple waypoints and also, the necessary delay.
➢ With multiple waypoints one after another, a path will be created.
➢ To run the path, we just have to click the run button before which the Robot should be set to its home
position.
➢ Then it will start to move in the path that we have created by using multiple waypoints.
➢ It will run this in a loop until we stop it.
➢ Turn On the EMG STOP if the Robot is not used for safety conditions.
RESULT:

Thus analyse & simulate using robo guide software and real time programming of FANUC ARC MATE 100ic
robot is done and verified.
