2. Connect helicopter to grounding cable.

3. Defuel helicopter AMM 12-30-00,3-3.

4. Substitute removed components by respective weights with appropriate lever

arm.

5. Jack helicopter.

a. Attach the 2 jacking brackets [L131M0001101] (3, Figure 2) to the aft

fuselage landing gear fittings.

b. Attach weighing bracket [L131M0002101] (6) to the center of the forward

landing gear cross tube.

DURING JACKING SECURE HELICOPTER AGAINST TILTING.

c. Place the 3 jacks commercial (4) below the jacking brackets

[L131M0001101] (3) and the weighing bracket [L1310002101] (6).

Place front jack commercial below the weighing bracket [L131M0002101]

on a platform (5) and locate it so that below the jack commercial a string for
marking the fuselage center line can be drawn.

d. Actuate both aft jacks commercial evenly until the clearance between ground
and skid is approx. 50 mm.

e. Actuate front jack commercial evenly until the clearance between ground and
skid is approx. 10 mm.

f. Place spirit level commercial on the cabin floor and use jacks commercial
to pre-align helicopter roughly into lateral and longitudinal directions and
facilitate subsequent more accurate alignment.

g. Hand-tighten retaining rings of the jacks commercial and check that landing
gear is clear of the ground.

Red rimmed rivets mark the measuring points.

6. Place dumpy level commercial in measuring position 1 (Figure 3) and adjust it so

that the measuring points 4, 5, 7, 9 and 11 (Figure 7) are visible.

7. Align helicopter.

a. Align helicopter round its longitudinal axis.

(1) Adjust aft jacks commercial and adjust the measuring points 4 and 5
using the dumpy level commercial to the same height.

(2) Secure aft jacks commercial by means of retaining rings.

b. Align helicopter round its lateral axis.

(1) Adjust front jack commercial and adjust the measuring points 4 and 5
and measuring point 7 to the same height using the dumpy level.

(2) Secure front jacks commercial by means of retaining rings.

c. Ensure that landing gear is clear of the ground.

8. Level helicopter and check the dimensions to be observed.

a. Determine distortion of fuselage, cabin floor and position of cabin floor by

levelling the measuring points of the LH side of the fuselage.

(1) Keep measuring position 1 for levelling the LH side of fuselage.

(2) Using dumpy level commercial, straight edge 1 m commercial and

straight edge 2 m commercial (with measuring head 75 mm), measure
the measuring points 7, 9 and 11 and record the measuring values. Use
measuring point 5 as reference value (measuring value = 0).

b. Determine distortion of fuselage, cabin floor and position of cabin floor by

levelling the measuring points of the RH side of the fuselage.

(1) Place dumpy level commercial in measuring position 2 (Figure 3) and

adjust it so that the measuring points 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 (Figure 7) are
visible.

(2) Using dumpy level commercial, straight edge 1 m commercial and

straight edge 2 m commercial (with measuring head 75 mm), measure
the measuring points 6, 8 and 10 and record the measuring values. Use
measuring point 4 as reference value (measuring value = 0).

c. Record the differences between the measuring values for measuring points
4 and 6 or 5 and 7, for measuring points 4 and 8, and for measuring points 8
and 9 in the measuring report (Figure 1).

d. Measure angularity of horizontal stabiliser by plumbing the measuring points.

(1) Hold plumb bob commercial with its string to marked rivet of measuring
point 2 (Figure 4) so that the plumb bob tip is suspended approx. 10-15
mm above the ground. Stick adhesive tape commercial to the ground
area below plumb bob tip. After the plumb bob commercial has stopped
swinging, release the string so that the falling tip marks the XY-position
of measuring point 2 on the adhesive tape.

(2) Using the same procedure, hold plumb bob commercial with its string
to marked rivet of measuring point 10 and mark its XY-position on the
ground.

(3) Using the same procedure, hold plumb bob commercial with its string
to marked rivet of measuring point 11 and mark its XY-position on the
ground.

(4) Measure distance on ground between markings of measuring points 2

and 10 and between markings of measuring points 2 and 11 and record
the results in the measuring report (Figure 1).

e. Plumb measuring points to measure the position of the tailbone with respect
to the longitudinal axis of the helicopter.

(1) Hold plumb bob commercial with its string to marked rivet of measuring
point 1 (Figure 5) and a second plumb bob commercial to marked rivet
of measuring point 2 so that the plumb bob tips are suspended approx. 4
mm above the ground.

(2) After the plumb bobs commercial have stopped swinging, stretch string
commercial on the ground from the point directly below plumb bob tip
of measuring point 1 to point directly below plumb bob tip of measuring
point 2 and fixed with adhesive tape commercial.

(3) Extend string commercial on ground below the plumb bob tips from
measuring point 1 via 2 to aft.

(4) Hold plumb bob commercial with its string to marked rivet of measuring
point 3 so that the plumb bob tip is suspended approx. 4 mm above the
ground.

(5) After the plumb bob commercial has stopped swinging, measure the
Y-deviation between the string commercial and plumb bob tip directly
below measuring point 3 on the ground. Record result if Y-deviation to
RH as (+) or to LH as (-) in the measuring report (Figure 1).

f. Measure forward tilt angle alpha and lateral tilt angle beta of the rotor axis at
the rotor mast (3, Figure 6) using clinometer commercial.

(1) Remove hub cap AMM 62-31-00,4-1.

(2) Position clinometer commercial (1) on the hub cap support (2) in
longitudinal direction.

(3) Determine angle alpha and record in the measuring report (Figure 1).

(4) Position clinometer commercial on the hub cap support in lateral

direction.

(5) Determine angle beta and record in the measuring report (Figure 1).

(6) Install hub cap AMM 62-31-00,4-1.

9. If the measuring results show that the tolerances indicated have been exceeded,
contact ECD-service engineering or local ECD-representative and perform
corrective measures in accordance with ECD's instructions.

DO NOT PLACE OBJECTS BELOW THE HELICOPTER AS

THEY MAY DAMAGE IT WHEN LOWERING THE HELICOPTER!

10. Prior to lowering the helicopter remove all objects which could damage the
helicopter.

11. Lower helicopter.

a. Remove securing devices from the jacks commercial. Carefully operate jacks
commercial and evenly lower helicopter.

b. Remove jacks commercial from helicopter.

c. Remove weighing bracket [L131M0002101] and the 2 jacking brackets

[L131M0001101] from the landing gear.

12. Fuel helicopter AMM 12-10-00,3-1.

13. Record general data into the measuring report and file measuring report in the
historical record of the helicopter.
