I have a new member in my family. It is a cat. I call it Keket, Keket has soft white fur and likes
to click its paws. It is also very curious and likes to explore its new surroundings. It seems to like milk
and fish a lot and waits eagerly as I prepare its meal.
Besides, the cat that my father took from the road is very important for me. It gives me
some lessons about “cat talk”. When it is near me it always purrs. This expresses its friendship with
me. When I do my homework it often bumps its head with mine. I know this is the way to say hello.
When it is curious it sticks its whiskers straight out and twitches with excitement.
Sometimes it approaches something carefully with ears pricked forward. This shows it alert.
When it stalks a bird under the banyan tree beside my house it waves its tail. This shows that it is
trying to make up its mind whether to creep or pounce. As soon as it has made up its mind the
waving usually stops.
Of course, I sometimes get angry with Keket. When it feels threatened it hisses and spits. It
thrashes its tail and shows its fangs. Its ears lie flat and its eyes dilate. Keket seems to like me a lot. I

Last January, I went to Yogyakarta with my familly. The day was my school vacation.
At that time, we were from Makassar.
We departed from Makassar to Yogyakarta at 6.30 AM by plane. Fortunately, there
was no problem so we could arrive in Yogyakarta at 8.30 AM. Before we went to Borobudur
Temple, we had lunch at Sleman, DIY. We ate Oseng-Oseng Mercon. For my parents, it was
their first time trying Oseng-Oseng Mercon. They said it was delicious.
Then we went to Borobudur. It took more than one hour to go there from Sleman. At
1.00 PM, we arrived at Borobudur. We had to wait for the performance because it started at
2.00 PM. Before the performance started, we bought some souvenirs and tried to play
Angklung in the souvenir shop. At exactly 2.00 PM, the show started. Not only Angklung
performance, there were also traditional dance performances. We sang, danced and learnt to
play Angklung together during the performance.
After we watched the show, we went to Malioboroto get dinner. We ate Gudeg which
is traditional food made from jackfruit vegetable with coconut milk or shredded coconut. It
usually tastes sweet and salty, but there is another savory taste. In Gudeg, there is a variant of
Gudeg with fried tofu. That was the first experience eating Gudeg for some of my family.
After we had dinner, we went to our hotel which is not too far away from Malioboroto get
some rest.
The day after that, we started the day with getting breakfast at the hotel. Then we
departed to Malioboro at 7.45 AM. From the hotel, we just walked to Bringharjo Market
around five minutes. After we arrived, we walked around the market to explore. It was very
refreshing. There were a lot of various bags, cloths, sandals and accessories old at that time.
We also saw some snacks and traditional handycrafts. My brother and I tried to ride a
delman. After we spent enough time there, we had lunch and returned to Makassar.
We were very tired when we arrived in Makassar, but we had a lot of fun during the
