BACKSTORY

Long time ago, Bathala had two sons namely Apolaki and Mayari and tasked them to go the Earth and
govern the life there. Apolaki is the god of the sun while Mayari is the god of the moon. Both of them
possessed immense energy. And, Bathala appointed Apolaki to take his position and rule not just the
earth but all of the universe. Mayari did not agree because he believed that he is much worthy of that
position. He is more capable of ruling the universe. Apolaki wanted peace but Mayari dreams of
controlling the world. They spent the last 5000 years opposing each other on Earth, waging a battle that
humans can’t perceive.

As an alternative, Apolaki passed down his energy by inscribing a seal on the body of his loyal
subordinate and become his successor. The seal is given to keep his energy conserved and well-
defended even when he dies. The seal was passed down to every generation. The one who possess the
mark shoulders the fate of the universe.

A millennium later, the world remained at peace and the equilibrium between the nations was keep. But
all that suddenly changed when a boy was born in the land of the sun. He has glowing marks on his right
arm and chest. Everyone who witnessed was fully terrified with the sight. The newborn child got the seal
but his powers activated unconsciously. Despite of that, Himaya Adlawan continued to give birth at the
cost of her own life and even managed to utter the name of the child in the last moments of her
consciousness. “I will look after you, my S-sinag…”

Sinag had a traumatic and painful childhood, he was neglected and solely recognized as a monster and a
demonic child who shouldn't be alive. Without being affected, he was equipped with the strength and
skills as a mandirigma. He trained very hard with Apollo, his older brother who is a part of an elite squad
in the village. Apollo believes that his brother was a real prodigy. However, no matter how skilled he
become, he did not received any single recognition from Dasig, his father. Despite of the blood relations,
he put Sinag through grueling training to master the power of the seal and would constantly inculpate
and berate him as the reason why his wife died, striking the youth whenever he opposed him. Until he
got full of his father’s actions towards him and suddenly activated his seal while he was beaten. His
father’s body was reduced to nothing. His hands were trembling and he was stoned and fully unsettled.

From that moment, everytime he looked at his hands, it feels like his going back to that moment again.
He experienced chest pain and rapid heart-beats. His will to live disappeared. He feels that he only
destroys everything in his way. Apollo helped him to return back to his old self because he believed on
Sinag’s potential. He was encouraging, but was also erratic and short-tempered at times. He always used
to tell Sinag to practice and wanted him back the way he fight. He always used to smile- to hide his
agonizing pain.

Apollo was considered an elite mandirigma archer. While on a mission, he noticed that his environment
became more and more suspicious so he targets the top of the trees, and his aims were accurate but not
precise due to the foggy environment of the forest that increases the air’s humidity. EKIS, a squad
commissioned to kill Sinag, suspected that their plan would not work and as a result carried out an
attack to take Apollo down. They managed to fatally injured him. But Apollo escaped and came to Sinag
to give him a specialized metal rod and made him escape. Apollo then went off and killed himself by
jumping off the cliff, realizing that his life has come to an end.

Couple years after, Sinag woke up inside a white room - a laboratory indeed! His blurry vision made it
hard for him to observe the environment. He heard the sounds of machines, and a foot step increasingly
louder and seems approaching faster. Sinag tried to activate his seal but nothing is happening.

“W-who are you?!” asked by Sinag.

The man in a lab gown just smiled. He then proceeds to examine the statistics and progress of Sinag’s
body.

“Your system is incredibly built with a diathermal walls, your seal makes it easy for you to absorb any
type of energy. For instance, you can absorb heat from your surroundings and release heat into the
surroundings. That’s how powerful you are!” stated by the Dr. Isaac.

“Answer me!” Sinag is getting pissed off.

“I am really impressed with how enormous your capacitor is! Aside from what I’ve said, you have also
the ability to store energy. Because energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it is only transformed
and transferred.” added by the doctor.

Dr. Isaac, a renowned scientist and a science genius who hide his identity in the forest, further explained
the abilities that Sinag possessed. It was more than just an ordinary powerful tool that he can use
whenever he needed it. It has the capability to absorb all the energy in this world and destroy life. Sinag
holds the balance between the nations. He was unconscious for 2 years and the doctor examined his
body on that span of time. Even though, Sinag’s body has fully recovered his vision seems to be so
blurry.

“Before I forget, I enhanced your whole body. I modified your eyes into a thermoreception type where it
allows you to see temperature variations in humans and environment. In short, you can see heat
presence!”
