Rainforest
 What’s rainforests?
They are wet forests that have very high temperature and rain all year round
 The rainforest is divided up into 3 layers:
+ the canopy (top layer of the trees- animals live- the noisiest layer)
+the understory (underneath the canopy- shorter trees and bushes)
+ the forest floor (little sunlight – the quietest layer)
 The benefit of rainforest:
+ protect the world’s climate because they take CO2- a greenhouse gas from the air and
release O2 for us to breathe
 What’s happening to the rainforest? rainforests are disappearing
+ It’s cut down for wood to make furniture, to build houses
+ It’s cleared for farming animals
